I need a new crank.....

I have had my block back from the machine shop for a while now and I droped the crankshaft off to be Checked for damage, balanced, Hot tanked, magnafluxed & micro-polished and the NIMROD that had the car prior to me had spun a bearing ...... the block was fine but the crank did not make it....

Now do i buy a motor from a junk yard?

Does anyone make a forged or aftermarket crankshaft

At this point i have 4 times what i paid for the whole car in the motor

over...sized...rod...bearings? or did it toast it THAT much?

He thought he could turn it 10 over but he said the journal on the 3rd main was to bad.....that is the one that spun.

I know clevite goes to 20 over, and I have a feeling I saw 30 as well.

Nobody makes a forged aftermarket crank. However, stock is forged from the factory and way overbuilt.

Oddly enough, I have a BRAND NEW OEM crank still in the nissan bag.. maybe even the nissan box bottom.Let me know at [email protected] if you need it.-Jeff

Jeff, i just sent you a email. i would be afraid of going 20 or even 30 over on the crank with the HP i have a goal for. Im shooting for the 400-450RWHP range so i dont know ......
