i have a '93 j30 w/ 103,000 miles. i have replaced the timming, water pump, fuel filter, tps & cleaned the mafs, both throttle bodies ( ever since the day i cleaned the mafs and tb's the car has idled high, 1000 rpms!). i have also had the injectors cleaned- twice! i have tried many different fuels- moblile, chevron, ect... no difference.

it hesitates only in the first 1/4 of the throttle during acceleration and only in low rpms. @ 2,000 rpms @ 40 mph seems to be the spot where it will constantly hesitates as long as it's in that range. but it doesn't do it all the time- only intermittenly. it also seems to do it more often when the tank is halve full or less. i changed the tps tuesday night. weds, & thurs. morning it ran awsome- the pedal feel was great through the rpms. it seemed like the old tps was having problems in the lower rpm's. on the way home thurs night, i felt the hesitation again- and i noticed the gas gauge was under 1/2 tank. please help!!! i'm going to fill up tomm and see if that makes a difference.

this is driving me crazy!!!!! thanks all that reply !!

PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO CAUTIOUSLY IM NOT A PRO, UNLESS YOU HAVE A PROB WITH NETWORKING.ALAS LATER ON THIS HELPED ME PEACE OUT.

everyone knows im not an mech but i do own a j30 and i did just get done with this same prob you have so go to pep boys buy electronic parts cleaner and wire dryer. go back to your jcar open the hood unplug and spray o2 sensors and wires spray and let air dry the MAFS, remove carbon canister plug every line with something that will not get stuck ie rag take some elec tape and make sure the rags will not expose the ends of the tubes leave the hood and drivers side door open while you assemble your jcar back to normal proceed to drivers seating area and crank the car watch as your high idle quickly becmomes a jump fest from 500-1400 rpms until it finally smooths out at 750.

BY THE WAY TAKE THE CARBON CANISTER AND USE IT AS A CONTAINER TO HOLD YOUR WALLET AND CAR KEYS AND POT
