Nah, no manifold yet. Theres a group by that went down on the .ORG that i organized. AMS just keeps making lame *** excuses for not getting us our manis.

Said they couldnt get the steel to make the manifolds.. Pretty hard to find.. metal....

You still haven't gotten that? Holly crap son...I'd contest the charges and or ask for a refund at this point. As far as I'm concerned, I'm no longer recommending them to anyone. Shady bussiness deals means they have no integrity...which means they suck.

I'm pretty sure they just up and quit paying sponsorship dues on Nico and still owe Greg money as well. Shops like them can stay over on the .org.

Yeah I also know they just switched locations to a bigger shop. They used to be right by my house and pretty cool, back in the day gave me a couple good tips on my E85 conversation. But after a while they started being shady like Brian mentioned.

I bet something ****ed up and now their in big doo doo :p

They cater to the Evo crowd and have ignored/stopped supporting the 240 guys.

Its like this to AMS IMO..

Evo customers(pocketbooks) > 240 customers

All about the money to these guys it seems anymore. I can almost promise you that we are on the back burner while they finish up their evo mani GB and other products.

Like EZ said, lol you can buy their rebuild kits for cheaper if you buy the parts separately. Your gona pay 100+ bucks simply for the convenience of buying it all from one place?!

I really dont see why any 240 guy would pay AMS for anything but a crate motor. Even then, just going on the way they have treated this group buy i would go with a local, reputable machinist in a heartbeat over AMS.

I recieved quick replies to my few phone calls/e-mails about a problem I had, and a 'free' t-shirt as a thanks/sorry type thing. The guy Chris@AMS was on NICO a lot for a while, and he kind of dissapeared as well.

They're very into the EVO business now I guess, and those guys have more money then 240 guys typically...I assume they're moving out the 240 side soon. Too many players in a market without enough money IMO.
As I said in another thread...

that is the sweetest looking well built bottom mount manifold for the money!!!!! I was looking on thier web sight last week and didn't see it listed any where . As for an answer to the question try peak boost that is what i'm running, it has held up well for 20,000 miles . it is a top mount with the wastegate flange on it mani t3 with a down pipe and open dump tube kit for some where around 2,000.

Peak boost is sweet, had one on an sr though.

I still have a rev hard for the KA, it's been on for probably 15-20K miles too.

Not sure they're the best but they were pretty cheap if that's what you need!

not sure they make them, but I think there was a place called treadstone (google treadstone cast manifold) that had a rev hard replica, get it jet-coated and it's still relatively cheap in total???

I went with an ETD manifold and custom downpipe. I ordered my first manifold from Boost Designs which I now believe is no longer in business thank god, but that thing was a piece of crap. I never put it on the car and replaced it with the ETD which is really well made.

See picture for how it sits in the car. Car is for sale by the way.

no they are not the same. The bolt patern on the flange that bolts to the head is different. The last time i looked though jgs makes one for the e as well as the de!.

Ouch. Refund?

I called AMS about 3 months ago asking if I could special order the manifold/dp, they said it would never see production again, because they would never sell enough to make oodles of money. I don't remember if I spoke with Chris or Eric

It was mainly a deposit, so im pretty sure im SOL. Just gotta wait it out, for now..

Its a GB on the .org with about 10 people, you should head over there and check out the AMS subsection and read up on that GB if you want to see what AMS is all about.

I was about to mention that they spend all their time on Evo's but they already stated that lol.

You know an Evo turbo kit FROM AMS runs almost 5k?

Funny stuff.

If I had got one, I would do the same thing. I would go a step further, and grind off the tacks that hold the name plate on....

Don't they still owe Greg money?.....

And if anyone is up for it, send me yours. I'll make a jig, and pump them out. I wont 'copy' them per say, just get a rough idea of measurements and such..

I like that idea I was wanting one of those manifolds my self but was sad to find out what was going on. I think the price tag was the big issue. most of us on here would need a lay away plan I thiught the manfold was worth it for the design and the quality though. they didn't have this around when i got my peak boost . good luck with your idea and keep us posted
