Hi

I have not been on the is board for long time and things have really changed and it looks like there are a lot of new members which is nice to see

I need a little help with the MAS connector

Yes my 94 q45 shakes and stalls at lights but when I pull over and fiddle with the wire and connector the problem is immediately rectified

I recall from a few years back that others were having a simular problem. But I have unable to find the mod or repair suggestions because of all of the changes

Furtherer. I believe that Joe at midway had come up with a replacement part or fix

I could use your help and suggestions

Thanks for your time and consideration

I don't mean to be all grumpy and point out what you should have done, but if you had looked a few more threads down the page before posting, you would have found this:

You're always free to use the search button, as well. Hope I was some help to you.

Did you try cleaning it first?

hello,

thank you everyone for your helpful information

Yes I did clean the mass airflow sensor and the connector and then applied liberal amounts of electrical grease to all connections

At this point I believe it is either the pins within the connector or more probably a broken and cracked wire leading to the sensor

Thanks again

hey Quash-sounds like your connector needs reworking--theres a post or two with the info for the kit, i show kent-moore j-38751-112 (shell), -123 (qty 3 terminals), and -124 (qty 3 seal).

if you can solder, it's easy diy. just be real careful to maintian the correct order of the pins or you'll fry the ECU. oh, and uncork the battery first....
