I finally got back in the nissan game, i sold my piggy a way back. I now own a pearl white 95. Bought the shell for 800 bucks, with a ka that had a rod out the side of the block. THen just a few days ago I picked up another sr. s14 notchtop. Bought it for 2800 with mild greddy cams and i believe a ferrea valvetrain. Has a knockoff greddy intake, and a silvia t28. With a staniless mani and full 3in turbo back exhaust. But. I dont want throttle response. I need an absolute highway monster. My goal is to own my dads c6. I know there alot of choices for turbos out there, but I want to know If im better off to switch to a top mount setup. Im only tuning with an innovate wideband and safc, but I plan to switch to an aem ems. So with tuning out of the way, i want to hear options for turbos. Should i stick to bottom mount, or switch to top? i really wanted a gt30r, but Its been a while since ive been in the sr game. I must admit the manifold setup the motor has now is quite nice to look at, and Id hate to throw it all out the door to switch to top mount. I need to be fast from 60 to whatever I can reach. And i doubt i can get what im lookin for out of a t-28 setup, but perhaps im wrong. Other mods as of now are a n62 maf, 80mm throttle body. Stock injectors, awaiting the power maker to make use of my rc's. My ecu has a jwt tune for what I have, but I know what I have isnt enough to take down the vette. O and i have the usual fmic, rad, pullies etc etc blow thru maf. Im gonna be cleaning the engine bay up real good and giving a quick wire tuck. Id like to tackle any manifold and or turbo issues before she goes in. Id also like to get a jun style intake mani, but I cant dish out tooo much cash.
