I know that this should probably be in the classifieds, but I wanted to see if anyone knew of a G35 sedan for sale that matched what I'm looking for. I've been searching cars.com and autotrader.com twice a day for the past 2 weeks to see if I can find one.

Here's my laundry list.

2003 or 2004 SedanBright Blue Exterior (I think it might be called Carribean Blue)Manual transmissionBlack Leather interiorSport packageHIDsunder 50,000 milesunder $20,000must be closer than 300 miles to Cincinnati.

It can have navigation, but I don't really need it. If it has a spoiler, great. If not, it's no big deal.

Here's the color I'm searching for. There was one for sale in Indianapolis but it sold recently and I'm having no luck finding another.

If someone can locate one for me and I end up getting it, I'll send you a 6-pack of you choice of brew. No joke! I seriously fell in love with the original blue G35 I saw and was heartbroken when I found out it was sold so I'm doing anything I can think of to find another.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out!-Alex

This might help...

http://traderpub.com/states/ohio.html

You may have to expand your search to several states, maybe even the country to find that exact car.

It's always hard to buy a used car when you have very specific color requirements. I have a friend that only likes white cars with dark grey or black interiors... Not to say that you shouldn't get what you want, but you will probably have to go over 300 miles to get it.

Already been checked. I was hoping that someone might know of one that might be for sale that isn't listed on cars.com or on autotrader, like a private seller that hasn't put it up on a website yet.

Next one I'm checking is Craigslist...

First of all, finding a 6MT sedan in those years is hard!

Second, I think that color is one of the rarest ones that came with the G.

It's not likely that you will find an exact match only 300 miles away.

I would be real, real careful about craigslist. I've seen too many scams there.

Well, I've found something close, but it's out in Los Angeles... about 2,900 miles away.

I think I'm going to settle for a Diamond Graphite or a Twilight Blue. Too bad, I would've loved to find a CB or AB sedan...

Did they ever make 03-04 sedans in Lakeshore Slate? If not, I might try to find an 05 with that color.

I picked up a twilight blue sedan(no nav)w/wheat interior back in October of last year.I love it and everyone says the color is a real eye catcher.just make sure you buy it with a bit of bumper to bumper still left on it.i had a flashing airbag light and when the dealer got done fixing it,Infiniti got a bill close to $2300.00 also i purchased mine thru an auto broker.gave him my wish list and price limits and he found it.

Good call. That's why I'm trying to find one under 50,000 miles, if not less...

I tried a local broker and they really seemed like they couldn't be bothered to look for me. I don't know if it's because of my age or the spec list I have, but they just couldn't be less interested.

I'll check around at a few other places.

It's weird that you mention that. I haven't heard of it before, but I'm looking through it as I type.

if you want the contact info of the guy who found mine,i'll be happy to give it to you.he's been known to deal with many out of state buyers.if i'm not mistaken,he located mine in Manheim,Pa.as most peeps here are probably aware, that's where alot of pre-owned cars in the country have traveled through at one time or another.i believe Infiniti takes their off lease cars and unload them there.

I believe Manheim, Pa has one of the largest automobile auctions on the east coast? If I were looking for a used G in good shape I would visit a few Infiniti dealers and make friends with a few used car salesman hard as that might be. A vehicle coming off lease that was properly serviced at that dealer is a much better choice than trying to save money in making such an expensive purchase from an unknown private party. The vehicle may still be under warranty and an extended warranty on a G with less than 50k miles may be a good choice to prevent unknown expenses on a used G. Just my $.02

Thanks Rex, where in Cincinnati are you located?

I'm going to attempt to talk with a few people that sell cars and see if I can't get a few new friends to help find a clean sedan.

I was told that the Caribean blue is one of the rarest colors (I'm glad because I didn't care for it), but the sales person at the Infiniti dealership said that they have excellent resale value because of their rarity.

I would personally find one in a different color and have it painted. Probably put you back $1200-$2000.

Yes, I heard the same thing. I really liked it at first with the black bumper trim and rocker panels, but I photoshopped one with the NISMO kit on it and it just looked weird.

I did the same p-chops on a Twilight Blue and a Diamond Graphite sedan and they looked harder than Michael Jackson at summer camp. My first choice is now Diamond Graphite and the second is Twilight Blue.

At least it's easier to locate one now!

yes telcoman,Manhein Auto Auctions is one of the largest,if not the largest setup on the east coast.as i said before,i believe my car came from there.it initially leased new from a dealership in Coconut Creek,FL.when the cars come off lease,INFINITI owns the car not the dealer unless there's a deal in place to buy it from them.(if someone knows better please feel free to correct me!)in my neck of the woods the closest Infiniti dealer is 42 miles from my door.(Timonium,MD.).making friends with the salesmen might work, but imho if you go there looking for a sweet deal, sorry but it ain't gonna happen. these dealerships are strategically placed where pockets are a bit deeper.i bought an I30 back in 2000 and looked at one in Timonium and they wanted $5k more than i paid thru the broker i used.(it too had bumper to bumper)he's meticulous in what he picks out for you and he will not obligate you to buy it if upon delivery it isn't what you wanted.this is the 3rd car we got thru him.he picked out a'97 I30 and my G35x for me and a '97 Jaguar(w/12k mi) for my gf.absolutely georgeous! he's so damned picky it took him 6 months to pick out exactly what she wanted.i apologize if this comes off as baggin' on ya or long winded (no offense what's so ever).just trying to help a fellow Infiniti lover make an informed decision on a important(and EXPENSIVE!) purchase.it's all love!!!

Thanks

I gave up on used vehicles a long time ago. I've purchased the last five in the month of December. I purchased my current G35 on 12/31/05. Christmas eve and New Years eve are the two best days of the year in my opinion to get a good deal. Snowstorms are also good times also to visit a dealer that has previously given you their best price.
