I'm pretty sure it's the speaker. It has a static sound that is consistent at all volume levels, so at low volume the noise is heard over the music, but at high volume the music masks the noise. (to a degree) In my experience when an amp blows it either won't turn on, or it will F with the sound no matter what you do...goody90q45 wrote:It sounds lke you may have a bad speaker amp?

I'm certainly interested, I'd love to have a spare. I'd prefer the Sony 10-disc. Did the 2000 Q Clarion CV737 work on your 94 Q replacing the Sony as a plug and play? I'm about ready to replace my Sony on my 94 Q.
