I bought my 240 this past winter and everything was great, however it ran a bit rich. I just chalked it up to sum leaking injectors until the car died completely. So i now have the engine completely torn apart and have found the my camshaft broke right underneath the first cam shackle. Ive heard of the happening before, i just haven't been able to find a stock cam for sale....Can anyone help?

CHRIS THIS CONDITION IS USUALLY CAUSED FROM LACK OF LUBRICATION THE JOURNALS THAT THE CAM LIES IN ARE MOST LIKELY SCORED AND YOU MAY NEED A NEW HEAD BECAUSE YOU WILL LOOSE PRESURE AT THIS POINT AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.YOU CAN BUY A HEAD / CAM COMBO AFTERMARKET AND THE USED HEADS/CAMS ARE PRETTY COMMON.ALSO CHECK TO SEE THAT THE BOLTS IN THE CAM PRECHES HAVE NOT BEEN STRIPPED.IF YOU HAVE 100K ON THE ENGINE YOU MIGHT AS WELL REPLACE THE OIL PUMP WHILE YOU ARE AT IT.GOOD LUCK
