Yeah I know what you mean man. It took me a couple of months to find my 97 and then I had to go a couple of states over to pick it up. Keep looking and you will find yours.

took me about 2 years lookin on autotrader 3 times daily. Mine popped up and 3 minutes later I had an appointment scheduled. I got SO lucky. I drove about 3 hours to miami and back. Its a SE with leather/manual/sunroof, I got everything, patience is key, don't settle for anything you don't want so you'll end up doing a manual transmission swap or something. Mine was green at the time but I got it painted. Good luck.

I know a guy locally with a very clean '97 5spd asking roughly 10-11k. Price might not be firm, if you're dealing in cash. I've ridden in the car, and it's in great shape. It's apparently got the ultra-rare very dark blue paint, which I suppose adds to it's exclusivity.

Other '97-'98 240's are selling for as much as $15K around here, so 10-11K seems reasonable for such a nice unit.

This guy is (last time I asked) looking to sell by the end of the month. Email me off-board and I'll see if I can get you in touch with him.

Need that car has a salvage title...so its been in a serious wreck.....I am going to contact them to find out the details...but I am unsure about what my insurance company would have to say about it.

My price range is whatever the bank will loan on the vehicle as of right now...I lost my *** when my car was totalled.....I want to keep enough cash on hand to do an SR20DET swap immediately....so as long as the car books for asking price then I am golden....a loan is approved and waiting...all I need to do is find the car.

Important options are ABS, SEedition preferred (they book out higher...) 5 speed. NO SMOKER I hate cig smoke...it kills the interior forever. Grey or black interior is preferrable..after I get settled the car will get the Vortex body kit and a color change (my bro works for a large paint company)...

Here's a decent one, I'd go for opt 1 stock alloys and do your own thing.

Low miles, 5sp, leather, VLSD

Do an "any" distance search on Autotrader, and then I'm sure someone on here has seen/looked at or will go look at the car for you.

I emailed them...and then realized it was not a 97 or 98....I like the front end on them better....but that is a clean car.

My bad, I think a 95 or 96 can be made to look like a 97-98, and it IS a clean car, don't care for the white rims :(.

I'm looking all the time (no funds to buy a 2nd car), so I'll keep this thread in mind if I see anything. My goal, 98, SE, 5pd, low miles, dark leather for about $5000 in perfect condition, yea I know it's never gonna happen, but you gotta have goals :)

wow, is that what a salvage title means, geez i must have made up the part where it could be a financial total. the 2 cars ive had were both financial totals, perfectly fine, just woulda costed more to repair than the value of the car. neither of my cars were in serious wrecks....

that is a 10K car....going by state farms 75% rule that car had 7500 dollars or more in damage....its being sold by a dealer correct? If so (I used to work for a dealer) its not the car for me.....
