I'd say my 240SX was in good condition personally - I am very fussy about car interiors and bodywork condition overall.

Check this thread out to see some recent pics of the car.

It is now actually much cleaner than in those pics - freshly washed and waxed yesterday just in time for the rain today :(

Well, as I've not set a price so far I'm not too sure how far to lower that ;)

The truth is, a car (or anything for that matter) is only worth what somebody is willing to pay at the end of the day.

I've not actually heard back from the Z28 people yet - so I'm not sure if I will be selling the car though yet.

As mentioned in the post for my car - I'm not needing to sell the car - just possibly selling if this Camaro opportunity comes up...which seems less likely right now...

i think i might buy this guys car in illinoise...he wants 5,250 for it. It's a 96...the reason is that his daughter is going to germany and wants to sell the car due to her husband in the military. It only has 60K miles on it...but one problem..it's fricking GOLD...but i might buy it anyways, and get a new body kit

Ummmm, I think he means the car has to go through the customs department of the government to be sold here legeally. Thats how the government regulates what is in this country and how they get more taxes out of you. I don't think he is removing the engine to do something custom.

that's not what i meant. what i meant was that if you try to do something that the car is not meant for...something always go wrong, one way or another. but huske...now i know why our govt is being a b itch about it. Damn, gotta take all my tax away

95 240sx with 150k miles. runs well still. perfect body condition, no rust no dents. 5spd with black interior. just the right car to buy to do one bad sr20det swap. email if interested. later.

Assuming this is a 96 240SX "SE" and the condition is inline with the low mileage of 60k, then I think this sounds like a very good deal.

If the condition of the car is poor relative to the low mileage it may not be such a good deal - but again assuming it is an SE it sounds like a good deal :)

i'm thinking that, or else, i have to buy this 92 for like 2250, but my friend said he can get it for 1500 for me, but i really like the newer body style...I dunno what to do now. The 95 has almost everything in good shape, even the motor. He also said that he would drive to MN to sell me the car...so it must be in a VERY good shape, in driving wise. What do you guys think? Get the 96 or get the 92. If I do buy a 92, i have some money left to get a bodykit, maybe even the strawberry face and fix it up a bit (shocks are dead); or get the 96 and drive it stock for a while...but less hassel and it's a newer car...i dunno what to do...i like both, hehe, but i can't have both.

Get the 96. IMO better body style, higher resale value (especially since you're getting such a deal) no extra money to be spent on repairs and if you don't drive it too much before the sr swap, you can sell the engine for a KA build up.

Actually if the '96 is actually in good condition you could possibly buy it, then sell it for around 7k then get that '92 for free with the profit from the sale ;)

Thats smart thinking.

Then get the engine upgrade :D

... But then he'd have a '92. A worn out '92. Unless he has the money for new bushings and coilovers at hand and actually likes that body style.... well I'd still rather have the '96. :pface

I believe it all depends on if you want to get the S15 Strawberry face kit. If you do get the cheaper 240sx, because the s13 still look awesome with the s15 conversion. If you get the s14 now and covert it to s15 it will be more money in the long run. If you dont decide to get the Strawberry kit, then get the 96 because it looks better. I personally only really like the 95-96 when the've got 17's or 18's AND have Veilside body kits. :) Hey that's exactly how my car looks like. :) But if I could get a 92 that runs for 1500, I'd buy it then by the strawberry s15 kit. :)

Just my 2cents :)

Interesting. Every girl I know thinks body kits are lame (and to tell you the truth so do I for the most part)

And not only that but you like the body kit that is probably the most.... Hmm don't want to step on toes - extroverted?

Wow. I relly need to move to a bigger city and expand my mind a bit. :pface

P.S. Thread starter - Hey if you get the front end conversion post some pics. I want to see if a gold car with black rims look as good as a black car with gold rims.

I would stick to the black car with gold rims, that sounds awesome. Or even better a gold car with GOLD rims.

Oh yeah and who here doesn't like the s14 240sx with a Veilside style kit. That and 17/s or 18s completely changes the look of the car, makes it look soo much sportier. Now all I need is my SR20det motor....:ylsuper

yeah Merced sucks. J/k :pface I used to live in Modesto/Ceres, Ca so I know where you're coming from. Why dont you go check out San Jose and see the kits on the cars there.

The truth? I think body kits (especially the Veilside one) is incredibly ricey (see wht I mean about steping on toes?)

I like front lips and factory spoilers but that's about it.

For me, the perfect s14 would be one with a s15 front end (with stock bumber and factory lip) with a funtional Quazi-GT carbon fiber spoiler that is no higher than 4 or 5 inches from the trunk. The color would be black with Advan TCII's and 300zx brakes with drilled and slotted rotors peering out from underneath.

But that's just me. If you dig body kits, more power to you. :)

Edit: Like this but black and sticker free. ;)

See the differnce between me and a ricer is my car wont just have a loud muffler. I WILL be fast, i will be a Silvia. And I will NOT put a cheesy spoiler on my car. :pface hell I dont think i want one. And oem spoilers do no good. And are ugly.

PS. my toes are fine, everyone has there own opinion and TASTE.

oh, the car won't be gold for long. I'm planning on painting it white, and if i have money, hell with it, straberry face it is. I also want to do the rear conversion too. I don't know what kit with the strawberry face though. I just want a simple kit and not too ricey. If i can't afford the strawberry face, i have to get something that looks good on my 240...i'm getting that 96 one by the way. He even pays me the plane ticket to go get it..hehe. Anyways, my mom is going to australia after chrismas...do you think aussie people sells s15 headlights? I thought they are closier to japan than us, therefore, it shouldn't cost that much, right? Let me know. Thanks

I don't know how you'll convert the rear end unless you mean to s14 spec.

But good choice on the '96. oddly enough I'm getting my '96 this weekend too. The buyer didn't contact him so I'm gonna go upand check it out and probably buy it.check it out.

Same problem you have - everything great but the color. I know someone that will stip off all the paint and repaint it any color you want for $1100 (good work too) so if I get the s15 front you can bet your bottom dollar that It'll be painted a nice shade of black to go with it. :D

jezz.. that is very nice. It even has the rims to go with. Well, for the fact that you have to pay around 1800 more then my car, i guess it's okay...hehehe. Why do you wanna paint it black? My friend told me that I should paint the golden 240 black also...must be the road sinister style or something huh? Anyways, when I said convert the rear...i mean that change it to the 99-00 J-Spec silvia taillights, like the one that I illustrated in my signature. But I don't think i'm gonna do that, just strawberry face and a new paint job is good

Well we'll see on the price. Anyway black just does something for me. I think it has a "I mean business" look to it.... I don't know.

Now if I could get some blacked out Regamaster evo's in a 8/9 inch stagered set up in size 17 for 2k shipped I could die a happy man. :)

the veilside body kit looks like total *** on ANY car except the mr-s, supra (because thats what it was meant for, but still doesnt look that good), and the c2 looks good on the rx7. Theres few body kits that look good on 240s, I'd say stock with the nismo lip is good, and perfect is the r34 front bumper that I've seen on some cars, like Non Fujitas.
