I vote lock... or we just let it die.

OP, if you can't find any 240's but you still want some RWD lovin, theres plenty of other options... Some even better than a 240...

Wut? Are you implying that the 240 is the best car in our demographic? Don't make me run off a long list of cheap RWD cars that are better than or equal to the S-Chassis...

lol sarcasm.

Though it is hard to name off a RWD that provides decent gas mileage at the age of a car that will sell for 300 bucks.

Miata would do that. So would aw11 MR2... Possibly Starion/Conquest too. AE86 if you get lucky. '88 Feiro if you're feeling brave. These would be the cheapest anyone would be likely to find.

Go just a little bit more upscale and grab MKIII Supra's, Z31/Z32 SC300/400, SW20 MR2, Porsche 944 and FC3S.

Keep an eye out cuz some of these cars come factory turbo'd. All of them are pretty easy to find for $4k or less and can look just as hot as an S-chassis with the right wheel fitment.

just picked up a hatch, second one, today for a good price. decent condition. forget the 240s. get yourself a nice Genesis Coupe. if I have money, I would get one on a heart beat.

Hmmm... one costs about $2500. The other about $25,000. Yeah, thats not much difference! Go for it, OP!
I kinda doubt he can afford the GC if he's in here having problems finding S-chassis in his price range..
