I need 280z stub axles and 27 spline companion flanges for my CV joint conversion as well as a 300zx 88ss Shiro driveshaft that didn't come with the VLSD I bought. Does anyone know if the 300zx turbo driveshaft is the same as the 300 zx 88ss Shiro dirveshaft? I live in Canada and older Z's have all rusted away, parts are getting tough to find.

so your putting in a viscous lsd? and you didn't get the viscous cv's with it? you'll need the modify the companion flange fit the cv shafts for the vlsd, which I assume is the same as the 84-89 z31t flanges, Modern Motorsports sells modified flanges or new machined flanges if you got deep pockets, you could modify the 240 companion flange but the 280 stub axles are a bit stronger, you won't need to change your driveshaft unless you're converting from the r180, if not the easier route is the change the pinion flange rather than the driveshaft, I ran a viscous with the modified stock u-jointed shafts, but later swapped to the clsd with cv's and MM flanges

also some of the 240sx's came with the vlsd, so their cv shafts will engage the diff correctly but not sure what the other end of their shaft is like or the total length, and please note the Z31 shaft requires you to flip the tulip on the outer cv joint and it's still a dang tight fit!
