Hey that thing has got the same plug as a 99 ford expedition fuel pump. They are almost identical. My dad replaced his and mine looked exactly like his.I wonder if they are they same because the plug went perfect on my fuel pump. He's got the triton 5.4 hmmmmm?

i don't know much about ford fuel pumps aside from that the early 90's fuel systems were crap.

btw, i stretched the old gasket that goes under the top of the mounting bracket, so now i have to wait till advance auto opens tomorrow to go get another one. grr!

When I installed my walbro 255l/hr pump My stock FPR couldent handle the pressure and I was running extremely rich, My fuel pressure was like 53psi at idle! I installed the nismo adjustable FPR and my car runs 80% better. Just something to beware of.

The Walbro pump looks almost identical to a 5.0 Mustang fuel pump. I modifed the 5.0 pump to work in my bosses 325I since the factory pump was close to $300. The 5.0 pump puts out enough pressure, but I'm not sure on the flow. Maybe the Walbro was initially designed based on the ford pump?

I think the actual pump part is universal, they just have different rubber mounts and such to adapt it to different vehicles.

I was amazed at how small this thing is. Mine went in on Friday. I saw it sitting next to the stock pump and it was quite a bit smaller.

i wonder if ford and walbro dont have something goin on? i noticed that the stock fuel pump for a nissan quest is a walbro pump. well the quest is just a nissan powertrain in a ford van. its the same thing as a mercury villager. i would be interested to see how many other ford products have walbro fuel pumps.
