I wanna go too. Wonder how expensive it is? Seems like you could easily spend a hundred bucks or so on one meal.

actually, they're most expensive meal options is only $48 (obviously you could spend way more going a la carte style). when i saw it on tv, i figured it would be stupid expensive, but i rationalized it as ok since you get a really unique dining experience.

5 course meal for $48? sounds like a deal to me.

Ninja Cook: "So, business is good?"
Owner: "In deed it is."
Cook: "So, what now?"
Owner: "What do you think about New York?"
Cook: "New York?"
Owner: "That's the plan."
Cook: "Didn't the Taliban do that one already?"
Owner: "Damnit! We're always one step behind."

So business does soo good in Japan that they decide the next step is half way across the WORLD. He must have had this dream since childhood. I have no doubt it will do well in NY but I would have at least opened up a few more places in Japan before venturing to America. Even then, I would try Hawaii first. Good luck....

manhattan was actually a good choice for this type of restaurant. northeastern americans love gimmicky s***. and they're on their 4th year in ny right now.

Hmm. I did not know that. See, I had no doubt. Albeit a bold move.

Even better if they only serve cheeseburgers and chips, not fries... pepsi, no coke.
