Topic explains it. However I want to know if there is anything I should check for tomorrow when I go to see it. It does have a tear drop on the bumper but it was a one owner leaser car; clean car fax, and I'm gonna offer to trade in my 2000 Q45, or our Chrysler Minivan since thats needing to get out soon. Also going to offer $13K Drive out with the Y33 trade in. Y'all think I have a decent chance of getting this beauty?

I'm personally IN LOVE with the car, and I've been researching it nonstop. I haven't been this excited in my life besides the time I got an Xbox some Christmases ago

I can't wait to test drive it!

Also, does manual mode have an auto shift? On our manual cars in Pakistan, I used to shift at redline when racing, but does it have some safety measure preventing you from shifting that close?

Sweet car but keep you q45 and sell the van

And on that website the video is a joke couldnt the dealer do the talking at least and not just hook up a mic to some windows xp computer and he would type the entire voice thats in that crappy video.

seeing from his website i would check out the dealer in more detail becuase the guy sound like a joke.

Read the buying a Q45 sticky above.

When you obtain the Infiniti Dealer Performemd Service History, verify the 3,750 OCI.

When the Infiniti Technician inspects the car, have him do a leak down dompression test and check for abonormalities.

Additionally, I would prefer a Premium to a base or Sport model.

In any case, be certain it has the throttle/ECU/ECM TSB performed on it, and get the Inifniti dealer backe extended warranty.

2003 and later don't have this problem. Personally, I would keep the 2000 FGY33. The VH and RE4 ae more robust designs and I like having VLSD.

Yes it is very cheesy , but I know West Houston BMW is a pretty good dealer in my neck of the woods.

Isn't it a premium edition? Has the power rear seats, the rear view camera, the rear face vents, and other goodies.

I can still get the extended warranty? The car has 71K miles, how much does the extended last for? I'd get that without a doubt for the car.

Yeah I'm probably gonna sell the van, most of us are in college, and if we need to move, well I know my good buddy has a truck so my mom, who barely drives, could take over the Y33... although she says it looks like a car that belongs to a "pimp" hahahahah.

I would focus on the service records for oil change records and notes about oil consumption. Consumption seems to be a problem on the newer Infiniti engines as they loosened them up a little to squeeze a little more HP out of them. As Brian mentioned, the updated TCU program and gas pedal updates are expensive if you're paying out of pocket... so you will either want to make sure they're done or use them as bargaining points.

Good luck!

Just like our experts says here check the service records. Request the full history records. For sure you are buying the premium edition (rear camera as differentiator).

It will costs you min $600 to flash ECU/TCM reprogramming and additional costs for pedal upgrade. The engine oil dipstick is also short and must be replaced.

Good luck the F50 is a fast luxury sedan.

... Oh My Lord......

I fell in love with this car, and so did my father, its so fast! so luxurious! So much technology!!!

Some problems though, that rear bumper mark is like a crack/hole kinda thing and on the rear chrome, part of the matte finish is coming off or something so my dad thinks it might've gotten hit, but its such a small blemish that it I can't see how a car could make a small hole into a bumper like that. Thankfully the rear view camera was fine, but the rear sunshade was not coming up unless we pulled on it while pushing the button to raise it.The interior wasn't cleaned well, looks like they just vacuumed it, but the leather needed to be cleaned and conditioned (guess they cheaped out on that but I've got leather conditioner anyway)

I didn't check yet if it had the update, but either way, its nice and faaassst compared to my Y33!!!

So my dad and I want it, but my mom doesn't want us to get it Both of us are still trying to persuade her, and I think with the blemishes and problem with the rear sunshade, I should be able to get it for $13K, I mean a rear bumper has to run at least $1,000 to buy and place it in, paint it and all correct? We're still gonna try to persuade her!

$13K for the car as it sits with no trade would be good.

No mention of Infiniti Dealer performed service History? No inspection by an Infiniti Senior technician? Don't let your mind be blinded by haste.

My guess is that you have never driven a resotred G50?

Yup great car, I literally fell in love too. I came real close to buying a 2002 base Q but the color was lousy so I decided to get a vicious 1994 Q45-t instead so I could smash...HARD.

Suspension was most impressive to me. Doesn't feel like a heavy boat when your taking quick corners.

I found the manual shift a hassle. Most of the time it was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!! NO!!!. It will also shift itself sometimes. Also that one didn't have the Gas Pedal TSB updated. I read that it lowers mileage by 2-3MPG...? Too silly for me to consider it.

Just keep in mind this car is more serious about on time maintenance... something we can lag on with the previous Qs.

Seems like there may be something stuck in the rear sunshade. i had this issue when a girl dropped an earing in there (dont ask) Try to clean in there if possible.

If it has the power reclining seats, wood grain rear center console with radio controls, its the premium. As far as the bumper goes, I would say $600 tops for a new bumper painted and installed. If the crack isnt that bad, you can have them patch it up and paint it for less then that. Good luck, you will love the car, i know I do and I have had it for a few years now and have not lost interest in it.
