I'm being considered for a job in Juneau, Alaska. I really don't think the coupe would be that great of a car in that kind of environment... I'd probably end up having to buy some sort of truck or SUV. Anyway, if I do get the job and anyone with a 2.5 is interested in a brand new Stillen cat-back let me know, I'll probably sell it for cheap. I DON'T WANT TO SELL MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the opportunity is too great to pass up if they decide to hire me.

I will let you know if I end up moving. I'll sell it for $100 less than what I paid originally (during the exhaust sale) and I'll take care of shipping. It'll come out to like $570. I should have an answer on the job in a couple of weeks.

Hey AltimaJoe did you ever give Point Mugu, CA a shot? We have tons of aircraft related civilian contractors here.

Haven't looked too much at Point Mugu... applied for a job with the exact same description as the AK job in Alameda county, haven't heard anything back on that one. I'd really prefer CA... AK has got to be COLD!!! But it really is too good of an opportunity to pass up, so if AK is it, then that's where I'll go. One positive thing, after talking to someone about Juneau, it turns out it rains there more than snows so if I can get my coupe on a boat I may be able to take it with me after all!! I mean, there are only 5 roads or something... it can't be THAT hard to keep them plowed!

Would be too bad to let the coupe go! If you do, keep it in the family and buy a Nissan Frontier or something

Eh, I decided to keep it even if I do move to Alaska. I'll buy an old mid-70's Bronco for the winters. Or an International Scout. The Altima will be my summer car.

I'm trying to leave because it's boring!! Actually, historic downtown is pretty awesome but there's only so much to do here... In reality it's my job that's boring... Fredericksburg is actually a really nice place to live. If I had a better job I'd probably stay for a while, it just didn't work out that way.

Central Park. It is a very nice place but it gets old VERY quickly. If I don't get the job in Alaska I may end up commuting up 95 to DC every day. I'm NOT looking forward to that drive. If I do get the Alaska job I'm going to sell everything I own and drive from here to Bellingham, WA and put my coupe on the ferry to Juneau... me and a couple of suitcases. Fun stuff there!!

yeah i wanted to try something different being that i was born and raised all my life in texas. so it was either here or germany and i didn't wanna be that far away from my family. but yeah we have another 6 yrs here. hubby just re-enlisted in july while overseas. we figure that this place sucks but we have a nice 3 bdrm house onpost and when he deploys it isnt like when he deployed with cav to baghdad. so overall for his ptsd self i figured this would be the best move for right now until his mind gets right...which who knows if that will ever happen!

Sorry to hear about the PTSD... I have a cousin who went into the army based on his experience with video games, thought it would be the same and now he's pretty bad off. They want to treat him for 3 months give him a month of leave and send him back... Depressing stuff. As far as going to Germany, it is far away but what an awesome country!! Weiss beer and Schnitzel are two of my favorite things. I was only in Stuttgart for 2 weeks but I think I gained 20 lbs on schnitzel and beer alone!!
