ill check my emails here in a second! thanks for the fast reply.

so my symptoms on this car are running really rich 9:1-10:1 at best AFRs on a wideband, the old motor had low compression, bought a motor off another guy in ohio, some of you may remember it as usdm1via's motor, then nismochk's motor, that blew a headgasket as the boost spiked to 19psi. well we check the compression its 150ish across the board, looks good so we threw it in. still runs like doo...

so i know its not low compression causing the issues, we have two ECUs the first one was a stocker, ran like crap way rich, then we bought a socketed ecu that i knew for a fact worked as i installed it years ago it was from the motor we just bought. so it ran great for about 20mins or so with normal AFRs (again checked on widebandO2) then it deterorated to 9's and 10's again. well after a dozen or so burnt chips no luck, both Ecus are now socketed neither let get the car running correctly, so i threw a SAFC on it, i cant get it to subract any fuel at all, but i can add fuel and stall the motor.

ive been at my wits end as i have become so unfimilar with the stock harness and Ecu since i havnt had to diagnose or work on one in 3years. today i decided to take the harness off the motor that we bought and try to use it instead, so i check it over before installing it, its been hacked to complete sh*t, someone got in there and replace the butt connectors joe used with male to female spade connectors, they used all black wires so after about 30mins of sorting the harness i said screw this. went back to the original harnes and started tearing it apart looking for problems found nothing major till i got to the O2 plug, somone had cut and spliced in a but connector for some reason. in doing so they let the grounded sheilding wire mingle with the signal wire thus causing it to be grounded out. i checked continuity between pin 50 on the ECU (chassis ground) and the plug, it beeps meaning its connected. then checked pin 29 (o2 sensor signal ) it also beeps so im thinking that its grounded out the o2 circuit and who knows what else causing it to make the car dump fuel and render it undrivable.

any one know what else this grounding could have effected in the computer? rafi or any other computer experts give me your take! im going to probably just pick up another ECU and fix up this harness and finish testing it to make sure that this wont happen again, and hopefully this will solve the problem.

thanks jon
