I met my heroes. I toured the GM Heritage Center.

A General Discussion forum for cars and other topics, and a great place to introduce yourself if you are new to NICO!

I enjoyed reading that entire section. Well done!

That's pretty cool, I think I need to become better friends with Seth... ;)

I'm not much for car shows/museum except when they have exceptionally rare/cool things. That looks like exactly what that is.. Ridiculous too that it looks like you were there by yourself and pretty much could wander around and do whatever you wanted with all those really cool cars.

I heard he was tarred, feathered, and sent home on a moped.

Did you see the Chevy Astro (I think that is the name) by any chance? Assuming it was ever built as a life-size model, of course ...

I had a toy version of that when I was less than ten and was fascinated by how the back of the car lifted, along with the seats(!) to let people in.

According to the article linked above, the car is in the GM Heritage collection.
