A couple of days ago, going home from work, a yellow panel light flickered momentarily (twice) on my dash when i was tossing the car around a bit. It was dark, so I could not tell what it was at the time - was not looking at it initially. I got a bit worried, so took it easy the rest of the way home - no problems at all!

Later on, at home, I determined it was the SLIP light that had flickered ... meaning I had triggered the anti-slip system (the VDC was on)!

On dry roads.

With tires that were down to 2/32" tread. Double !!

Anyhoo, I attributed it to the worn tires and motored on.

Today, I got my new tires mounted and it clearly handles a bit better (not surprisingly! ) on them so far - the old ones were worn out. So, tonight, I intend to check out the same curves I was on the last time. If I trigger the SLIP light again, I need to think about curbing my fast driving habits ... sigh!

Okay, I got the new tires on those same curves (wore the tire surface down a bit first), and it is handling just fine! Not surprising . No SLIP light and no problems!

I love my car!

I have to admit when I first got my M I didn’t know how to drive a rear wheel drive 340Hp/333lb torque car, so those 18 inch Bridgestone got a work out. The A$$ of the car was always wiggling. I got the same slip light and was excited to see it but, after the eibach install it was hard to loose the rear end. The car was like glue. And later I added the 20 inch Foose rims and BFG comp t/a’s. I drive it like an old man now.
