Hi, all.

I have an opportunity to get [yet] another set of rims for my Q - the TT 16x8.5" kind - if the seller and I agree on the final price and terms. The problem is that he lives in Canoga Park (near Los Angeles, CA) and does not want to ship anything.

Is there someone in Los Angeles who could help me out here? I'd send you the money for the rims, for checking them out to make sure that they are in good shape, for arranging the packing and shipping, and some extra for your time and trouble in doing this for me!

I saw this post and was hoping someone else would hop in here. CP is a bit of a drive for me. To paint a picture, I'm a bit sore that the place I'm currently moving into is 2.8 miles from work. The place I'm moving out of is 1.4 miles from work. To say I hate traffic is an understatement. Don't get me wrong though--I love a good roadtrip. 1300-mile drives are a blast if the roads are good and clear. I get out to CP once every few months on business. I'd rather not make a run, but if no one else steps up I will consider it. The timings pretty bad though. I'm spending my nights and weekends moving from one place to another. My occupancies are overlapping the entire month of August. Lots of packing, and stairs aren't any fun either.

Hi, Robert.

I knew you were in the general area, but did not want to impose without making a general request first, since I had bugged you earlier about coming for DIY help (which I did not do). So far, the guy and I are still discussing the purchase anyway, so it is not a done deal yet ...

Also, it turns out that I am going to be in the area on a business trip in a few weeks, so I might be able to pick them up and ship them myself (cannot cart them on the plane :) !), if the guy is willing to wait till then.

Thanks!

I live in Southern Calif, Orange County to be exact and if you are still in need of someone to pick up these rims then e-mail me and I'll see what I can do. [email protected]

Hi, Marty.

It looks like I will be in Los Angeles this Monday night on a business trip and I have now arranged to look at the wheels myself and see if they are as good as they are made out to be. If so, I will go for them ...

Thanks much!
