Well, of course it depends one what he's asking for it, but I think you should go for it. One question: Does it run?

I had roof problems as well, check out the thread in my signature... lotta bondo.

I say if you get it just because it is a stupid 240 and you want one real bad you will regret it if its the first one you have looked at cause trust me there are way better ones out there for "a couple hundred bucks" (i got mine for 600 and it doesnt have but a few door ding on the body) but if you have searched and maybe just want to buy it strip it of whats good and sell the rest go ahead sounds like a good idea that way when you find one that is a little nicer you got the parts or you can sell the parts and make a little money and buy an even nicer 240. what ever the case that is my two cents gl.

Go for it. If it still runs, then it's a very good deal for just "a couple of hundred" bucks.

Columbus, GA, eh? You live just 30 minutes from me.

Personally I wouldn't waste my time with it but hey that's just me.I would save and spend the extra money to find something better than that junk on wheels.I mean you just named all the above exterior/interior flaws...I don't even want to imagine how the engine bay area looks!

If you have the TIME and MONEY to fix all that up then go right ahead it would be a good project but if you dont stay far away from it man.

Yeah. I think that it's a keeper. For me, if a car catches your eyes and you actually think about purchasing it. It's the one for you. Personally, I like to resurrect my cars and bring them back to life. It gives me a sense of accomplishments and bragging rights. Besides, no car deserves to be mistreated. They should be cared for just like a living creature.

lol i agree, but what caught my eye was my dad calling me up and telling me theres a 240sx in my neighborhood and he only wants a couple hundred bucks for it lol. other than the roof , and the fact that i still dont know if it runs or not, i think its well worth it. its been sitting there for at least a year, so i dont think he likes it to much lol. there werent any other nissans or "related cars" in his garage/driveway so im thinking he just lets it sit there.

i had a tbird with a big dent in the roof like that, i didnt even pull the headliner out, it was a hot sunny day and since new cars use thin metal anyways i punched the roof a few times from the inside and it popped the dent right out, no paint work or anything, you couldnt even tell it was there

Well, if you're looking to fix it up to look nice, the body work is going to be pretty expensive. Still not bad, not worth more than $200 though.

you must have bought your car a while ago because there are coupes in worse condition (believe it or not) around here for more than 600. Stupid drift tax. I say go for it.

Deals are out there, you just have to keep your eyes sharp. I found my hatch for $200 a couple years ago, just needed a new motor and trans.

@ zeause: Thanks! I put in a lot of elbo grease into this one
