Hallo everyone, i glad that there is a community where i will get answers on my questions, and i'll be very thankful to get even a small information about what i want to know....

Okaay, yesterday i have seen a a Nissa Rogue on salvage auction, it's manufactured in 2011, milage, airbags and such important thinks are in good condition, only issue was that it had a back collision, after what there was a full fix (restore) was done, but not a big issue as i have showed it already to some experienced engineers....

one issue or question i want to ask is that....what i have to do to not make a cvt oil overheated on a long trips? should i install CVT transmission oil cooler to be more protected not to stop on long trips?

thank you for attention....

you already have an cvt oil cooler. unless you plan on towing, you wont need anything more. you should be fine as you are.

I have read on some review sites, that after passing like 200-300-400 km, in transmission may appear some problems. so now i do not know whether what to do now? sometimes i really need to pass long trips from one city to another on high speed......

so you tell me that there is no need of any additional modifications/cooling on cvt transmission oil?

i did a round trip that lasted: 344.14 miles (553.8km) in the summer, and nothing happened. not there, not back. you can read 10 review sites, and get 10 different point of views. a lot of those sites hire bloggers and reporters; NOT mechanics. take things with a grain of salt.

:welcome:

sandro92, you're going to be driving in the Caucasus, which is hardly akin to the Gobi desert, so I wouldn't give it a second thought. My daily commute is only 45 minutes, but my 2012 Rogue is doing just fine in temps of 33 to 34 Celsius and 99% humidity.

If the vehicle has been repaired properly, you will be fine. I say go for it, and post pictures when you can!

we have same temps here in summer, maybe 37-38....but humidity is not so high, plus mostly this car will be used by my sister, she goes from her home to her job,and that's the all trip....
i'll put some pics soon, now i'm deciding between two choices of Rogue..... one which is of year 2009 plus 90,000 miles on it, with leather saloon, trip-tronic and such options...

second is the year of 2011, witch 65.000 miles on it, which had a collision in the end of the car, and was repaired quite effectively.....

still thinking which one to choose....

2009 may also have the transmission cooler installed already as well, depending on the trim. My SL awd has it.

Here is a pick from a 2008 (image from casperfun)

Actually I thought you had posted that before, the caption on it seemed like something you would do. I didn't feel like searching anymore.

65 MPH, for 2 hours, in 95 degrees, or climbing hills for over six miles were the conditions that the service bulletin stated would cause overheating and trip the safe mode.
If you're going slower and in cooler temperatures you shouldn't have a problem.

The factory cooler is part of a kit and includes an oil cooler and takes almost a full day to install, so it will cost quite a bit. There are aftermarket coolers as well of course.

Might not be needed, but it won't hurt, and if yoy.do drive in those conditions it might be worth the money... close to a thousand I think was the total I was quoted..

Wasn't worth it as it rarely gets that warm here, and the 2013 has the cooling somewhat improved. The dealer mechanic talked me out of it.
