I'm thinking of buying a used FX series. Advice please.

I'm thinking of buying a used FX series Infiniti and I thought it would be a good idea to ask this forum.

I'm pretty good at scouring Craigslist and cars.com in order to get a good deal.
So, I'm thinking of getting a 2010 or newer with less than 70k miles.

But if the timing belt goes at 70k maybe I should shoot for one with 70 and a new timing belt.

Are there any models to avoid?
JD powers give the car a 2 or 3 out of 5 for mechanical reliability.

Are these bullet proof Japanese cars like a Lexus? Or are they problematic?
head gaskets issues?
Timing belts?
Does a timing belt cost a fortune?
Does a water pump require the motor being removed?
Do the switches break easiliy?

A friend has a Nissan Murano and she says it feels cheap.

You get the picture of the questions I'm asking. I hope.

The FX35 3.5L engine uses timing chains, so no belts
Ive had my '12 FX35 LE for 2 years with no major issues...just do regular maintenance, put gas in it and go. Living in NYC the roads suck & the suspension on these things are NOT Cadillac like....you WILL feel every rut in the road...

Good luck with the purchase

-Chris in NYC ;)
