First off, i want to say thanks to all on this forum. It makes owning a vert a little easier.

i haven't done much with mine since i first got it, but a pig lip, S14 seats, and my own license plate relocation. as stock as stock can be everywhere else.

Its a slow process when funds are low, but with income tax on its way. I was thinking about suspension. Right now i eat speed bumps all day long, i wouldn't doubt if these are the original springs and struts. it sits about 25 1/2" all around. (from ground to top of gap, with stock 15's)

i don't consider myself 4X4 but i can't find how high 4X4 is. I would like to go with a lowering spring strut combo if would leave me at this height or a tad higher.

so i guess my questions are: how high is 4X4? (if i were to just replace with a stock setup)

and if someone with a vert, lowering spring strut setup, and stock wheels. tell me how big of a gap is there?

hope this makes a little sense

thanks again

That is 4x4 status (looks like stock). Basically the wheel game will lower the amount the springs lower the car. So probably a drop of 1 inch to about 2 inches depending on the spring.

Thanks for the quick reply

sounds like i may need to either go with a stock setup and hope the new stiffness helps me clear some of these bumps.

or get bigger wheels and lower.

If you aren't looking for a dramatic drop you could run a decent spring/strut combo. I am going to drop my car lower with coil overs, but currently I run tokikos and Eibach sportlines. I dropped down low in the rears pretty significantly, and not as low in the front. I'd say about 2.2 in the rear and maybe around 2 up front. I still maintain the raked stance, however. If I remember tomorrow I will try to take a picture. Keep in mind the stock springs on the vert are taller than the stock on a coupe or hatch..so the rear is going to drop moreso than the description of the product you may purchase. Right now I have the stock SE wheels on but I ran 17 inch wheels and the stance was nice. Relatively agressive, and very clean.

Good luck!
