If you think the Versa is THAT ugly and THAT awful... SELL IT!

I spent a damn long time saving up for this car, and I love it. It's a great car, and for those of you who insist on just making every kind of nasty remark I have to say that I haven't even heard this much whining out of my friends' twins (or my ex girlfriend)!

All I have to say is this: This is a forum for open discussion, but for those of you who just can seem to get it through your heads that maybe some of us bought this car because we actually wanted it, maybe you'd think twice about coming onto this forum and releasing whatever pointless banter you feel the need to share because you didn't get the car you wanted...

I almost wish I had bought a Fit just so that I could be part of a community that actually enjoys owning their cars...

I certainly agree what you said. This is the first brand new car I bought and like it but somewhat unsatisfied with aftermarket support. I owned a '98 Civic coupe and loved the heck out of it and done everything I could to it with parts.

I've been glancing at the Fitfreak forums every now and then to see what's up and it's like night and day. There is much more enthusiastic folks who have pride in their car and less ranting and complaining. Plus, everytime they take pictures of their vehicles, it's like awesome. I go drooling over it. blind_snyper, your car is great, we need more people like that around here.

Honestly, I hope there are more people out their that have the ambition to modify their car to their pleasure without so much criticism that's been happening lately. The aftermarket support is lacking and should pick up soon pretty soon, or else there are going to be some disappointed people. I'm not one of them but people on here 'should' have some creativity. Sorry if I'm expecting too much out of this conversation.

P.S. where are you Kimber?

The aftermarket support is going to pick up. They just need to know that alot of their parts would be sold. Im sure if Bob showed them alot of these threads itd get going

Civics have a lot because they've been around for so long. And I think a lot came out for the Fit cuz its kinda the new Civic. Everyone wants a fit and to modify it.

Personally.. I LOVED my V from day one to the day i lost it. =[ And to this day I wish i had it over my Cav, I love my Cav and boy is there a lot i can and want to do to her. But My V was so awesome ya know? It was my first brand new car, and my only brand new car, and I loved her. I hadnt planned on modifying her much but a cold air intake and some rims, I had an S, and i had changed out the deck (lucky got to change it back when i lost her).

And right now Im stuck between getting a hatchback V when i build my credit up or get a new gen of the Cobalt. Im waiting to see what the 2011 is going to look like, and see where the V is by then. Then i will decide. I wont be able to get a car till 2010 or 2011 anyway if things in my life keep going as they are now. =/

I still come on here cuz i LOVE to see what others do to their V's.

I feel that you are doing exactly what you are asking people to stop; posting an opinion. To be just slightly sarcastic, maybe there should be a sticky that tells everyone to only say only those things that everyone will agree with and no negative comments about their Versa. Yes, some comments may go too far but that is the nature of these things. Fred

I'm not surprised to see people who own a Versa make negative comments about it's looks. We own a Versa SL and I don't find it to be a particularly great looking car. It's not what I would call ugly, but it's not sexy either. That doesn't change the fact that we LOVE the car! We didn't buy it for looks. I'm not 17. There are a lot more important factors to me like: reliability, comfort, passenger/cargo room, fuel economy, and over-all value for my money. In those areas the Versa absolutely rocks. "Looks" is a matter of personal taste anyway. If you think the Versa is the hottest looking car since the Ferrari 360...great. It's your car. Your opinion is the only one that matters.

I don't mind if somebody complains about a problem tactfully, but in the recent couple of weeks, it's been simple, unadulterated attacks on the car in ways that you would expect a Honda enthusiast to talk about it!

Look, I'm all for free speech and I don't have time to get offended by small talk, but if it is really just going to be attacks like the one on "Ugliest Dash Ever" and others who just complain to hear themselves talk, I'm not going to be in any way tolerant of that, and I'm positive I'm not the only one.

All I ask is... simple consideration of who you're talking to.

Just my opinion....

Who gives a crap about those who put down the V anyway, these people would probably complain if they were given a Buggati for free. I just simply ignore 'em as they don't know any better and get in my V and smile as I drive thru rush hour traffic and actually enjoy driving as much as I did when I first got my license over thirty years ago.

I got my license 7 years ago and I'm starting to feel old!

It's actually really exciting to see what's happened in the car markets over that time as far as new products offered and the design changes that have occurred...
