I think a Toyota Matrix would be a greta fit, if they offered the 6 speed XRS with AWD. Maybe you can get a resonable after market (or TRD) turbo kit for the AT AWD?

Hell, I rented a 4-cylinder FWD base model Mazda 6 when I was in Florida, and when I got home and drove the Q, I still missed the Mazda.

Getting into a RWD V8 luxury sedan and longing for an economical 4-banger says something.

it says you are too young and not quite financially ready for a Q

jesda, get a small, fast sports car while you can! once you get older, married, and have kids it gets harder to justify-thats when you get to enjoy big, somewhat quick cars like the Q

330xi looks like a delightful car!

Friend of mine just traded his 2004 330 for a 2003 Escalade. No real reason other than he has a weird tick that makes him buy a new car every six months. I got to ride in it and thought it was a fantastic coupe.

If you look real hard, you may be able to squeeze this into your "price range"

Volvo V50 - AWD, 218 hp 2.5L Turbo, 6 speed, a bit pricey ~$30k

God, thats gorgeous. The new C30 hatchback is a looker too. Its one of few hatches that doesn't scream "I'M POOR!"

I forgot about this one. Nice. I like the retro homage to the 1800es from the 70's. I saw one of those old 1800s in Brooklyn a few months ago. There's some guy in Long Island that has an 1800 with 2,474,221 miles on it. I think some kind of record. http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/hi...h.php

The C30 is nice but no AWD. BOO!

I've craved a Volvo 1800 wagon all my life! Such a sleek sporty lookin' thang.

I think it's too late now, though. Those old cars are great to look at and fun to put-put around in, but they're no longer even close to what we consider "comfortable" anymore. The wife's T-Bird feels like riding in an old pickup, heheh, and it was one of the most comfortable cars of its day.

That new Volvo V50 is sweet, sweet, sweet.
