The PhotoShop work is really nice.

I know a license plate looks poor in such niceartistic renderings, but, could you put a licenseplate on the vertical grill image?

Thanks

Well...this picture looks like real to me. Photochoped is the one from orimental. If you go up a few replies you will see there's similar picture but simple blacked out the middle.

Hey, Leo!

Been really busy, but doing very very well. Just haven't had much time to come around the forums, but I'm going to be stopping by more often again to see what's up in the Rogue's third model year. How've you been? Do anything exciting on the car since last I visited NICO?

Hey Leo, I see that mynissanparts.com doesn't have that grill anymore. There is another site that does but it is listed as stainless steel rather than ABS with chrome. Which is your's? ABS or Stainless?

Thanks!

I just received my new grill in the mail, but I'm going to be powdercoating it and then installing it. I will post up pictures along the way! I'm pretty excited to get it on before the winter!! It'll probably be my last project until the spring.. I have a motorcycle to do some mods to!

Hi Peleke... As you probably know there are several grill appliques on the market. This one from Nissan is the most prominent. It is made from ABS plastic. They are extremely durable and have had no reported problems even after years of service..

As you discovered this next one (shown below)... like the one Leo pictured in his thread, is also still available. While they look similar the main difference is this design does not have the cross hatch (vertical / horizontal) chrome bars inside the grill area (it just frames the grill area). The other main difference is this design appears to only be available in Stainless Steel, polished to a chrome finish.

While mynissanparts no longer has it listed on their site... it is still available. Here's one of many sites that still offers it: (the price is right too!)http://store.qaausa.com/sg28535.html

Thanks Elton! I saw that stainless one but I was wondering about its durability. I was thinking that the chromed ABS would be better than the stainless.

Yep... hard to believe the day would come when we would have trouble choosing between plastic and stainless steel.

Today's ABS compounds are very strong and the plastic chrome plating is several mil's thick. While the stainless grill may prove to be more durable over the next couple decades I personally think they look one dimensional. (i.e. too flat) Whereas the inside and outside edges of the plastic grills are beveled which present them as being slightly crowned and giving them a nice 3 dimensional look. With the great chrome plating on these plastic grills its tough to find another aftermarket add-on that looks as cool for the money spent.

I wish my grill looked like this! Yours may be standard, but mine is just black. I know what I'm going to buy soon!

Actually I believe what Jimothy12 was saying is that he has the "standard Nissan" chrome grill. In other words, the default Rogue grill is the painted egg crate design you are referring to. The standard Nissan chrome grill is a Nissan option which is a plastic applique that is applied with double sided tape.

There are other grill covers on the market.... stainless, plastic, aluminum... even billet bars, all non Nissan... These would be considered non standard. (i.e., after market)

Anyway...be sure to shop around. I've seen prices on the Nissan chrome grill from $99 to $179.
