I sold my 92Q last week. She was in tip-top condition thanks to $8000 in repairs over the past 4 years but lost her parking spot to a 33' Class A Winnebego which now sits in our RV driveway next to the house. I retired last month and priorities have changed. The wife and I will be on the road soon and I need to find a small car with a manual transmission that can be towed behind the RV. My '94 Toyota truck is now my daily driver until a towable car can be found. FYI- Listed the Q on Craigslist for $2100, had 5 responses within 2 hours and sold it the next day for $1950.

It's been a great 10 years of Q ownership. I bought my first Q not knowing anything about them for my son who was moving away to college. He didn't want it (said it looked too much like a Buick) so I kept it and started fixing it up. The first repair was a flashing airbag light and i found NICOclub and never left. In the next 6 years I bought and sold 5 other Q's that were my daily drivers and had 3 others in my driveway as parts cars. The Q I just sold was given to me for $1 by a NICO member in Central California (KKrone) and I've had it for the past 4 years.

One benefit of this sale is that all of the parts I saved for myself are now going to be listed for sale in the classifieds forum. I'll start taking pictures soon and get the posts started.

I enjoy the Q45 forum as well as other NICO forums so I'll still be lurking and helping where I can.

Very nice! :dblthumb:

I full-timed in a 28' motorhome for a few years - Camped in the Arizona desert during the winters, and wandered around the pacific northwest and east coast the rest of the time. Talk about memories!

If you're considering spending significant time on the road, check out the Escapees RV Club - It was founded by and for full-timers, and is a great resource for advice, inexpensive campsites, equipment reviews, etc.

Hey Mike - That looks like a great RV you have there. Don't be a stranger.

You've saved us all a bunch of headaches and money along the way.

Congrats on retiring and the new winnie! A Miata makes for a nice little reliable easily towable fun runabout for traveling, and folding the top back allows you to explore your new surroundings quite nicely!

How funny. We just did the reverse of you. We sold our fifth-wheel that we have owned since 2008. We towed it about 45,000 miles with an F350 dually and spent time in just about every state in the US except a few in the far northeast. We sold the F350 and fifth wheel as a package then I went car shopping. I wanted a Q as a younger man working in the corporate world, but I ended up with a 7-series BMW. That car was fun, but I do like the Q that I purchased last November a bit better. The F350 was my daily driver when we were at home so I am enjoying not having to manage and park that beast. The Q feels absolutely nimble in comparison.

I highly recommend a couple of RV websites:

rvparkreviews.com -- for RV park selection; parks are rated and described by real park users that receive no compensation

rv.net -- forums have tons of RV info on just about any topic you could imagine

Enjoy our great country.

I am soon to sell my beloved as well, just too many projects to give her the time she deserves.

Looking @ the work bench full of new parts I intended to install makes me scratch my head lol.
