I'm new here, and since I recently discovered the well kept secret of Infiniti M cool factor, I though I would share that I'm picking up a 2006, with 35,000 miles. I test drove a Lexus L430 and Infiniti M35 today and though both nice cars, they are quite different. LS430 oozes elegance and the M35 sporting fun. My main car has been a VW Passat since 1999 and at last it will be relegated to work car duties. This will be the nicest car I've owned and am quite excited to learn about it on these forums. The car is the Umbria metallic grey with black leather interior with the navigation system and adaptive cruise, how cool is that. I am looking forward to coming back to these forums since it's been a long time since I frequented auto forums and got to learn about new technologies. This is radically different than what was available in 1999. Keith

Congrats!

Care to share your purchase price exluding taxes and all those fees?

I only ask because I am looking at a 2006 M35 Sport Twilight Blue, Stone leather, Crome wheels , Tech and Journey package has bkup camera(not sure if that's in a package) w/ 33,000 miles. Its listed for 25,995

Or anyone want to comment if that is an acceptable price?

I guess my fortune is the dealers misfortune because of the times being difficult and all. Last week they had the car listed at $31,000 dropped it to $25,000 and finally to $22,998 before taxes etc. I got several of the tech packages etc with navigation with the Umbria grey with black leather. The car is simply more gorgeous than I could imagine. I almost bought a Lexus LS430 but frankly this is way more my style. I think the performance and reliability of the Infinity brand is a well kept secret which makes the cars have less staying power in the used market. While they were doing my paperwork, I checked out a 2008 in the showroom which looked almost identical to mine. I'm sure it wasn't but it would take a real aficionado to tell the difference.
