Well, I did it. I got rid of the J tonight. I traded my father-in-law straight up for this:

It's a 2000 Excursion XLT 4x4 V10 worth at least $6,000 versus the J that I thought was worth about $3,000.

Now I can sell my old 93 F-250 and use the Excursion for my stump grinding business and my wife can just use the Durango. It's got lots more room than the J and she doesn't drive much so we don't really care about the gas mileage. (Plus, it makes one heck of a hot-rod grocery getter. 360 V8 with 4.56:1 rear gears!!)

It's been fun hanging around here and I won't be gone 100% but I don't think I'll be spending as much time on here anymore.

It's ok. It's nicer than my truck and it has AIR!!

We filled it up before we drove home. FORTY-FOUR gallon tank! This thing will go over 550 miles on one tank!

Probably a very smart move, as there are so many things that can go wrong with the J30. At 204K miles and with one failed injector already, most likely your father-in-law will need some help? And what's the new baby sleeping schedule been so far? Good luck with it all.

Once we finally get her asleep, she sleeps thru the night, only waking up twice to eat.

FIL already has another vehicle and doesn't really even need the J so I'm hoping he soon asks me to help him sell the J. Who knows, it will probably just sit there and not get driven much.

Between the 3 vehicles in my fleet now I have a combined displacement of 20.2 liters!! and almost 800 horsepower and about 1200 lb ft of torque and they can hold 106 gallons of fuel and have a total of 20 seat belts.

Dang!!!!!!!

But you have helped us out a lot. Especially me. Thanks. I'm not going to buy that wrecked J, but I'm sure another one will pop up when I get my money right.

My cousin wants to buy my Civic. I might sell it to her. But she's 15, & into street racing, so you know how that goes...could be Nala's girlfriend *lol*

$17. It was almost full but I wanted to top it off to be able to figure mpg which it got 12.4 mpg on a 100 mile highway trip (70 mph).
