I am not the only person in the world that believes in proper grammar. So, for those of you who think I'm just being a "nazi" when it comes to pointing things out, it's because I truly believe you have something relevant to contribute, and I don't want you to either lose me in verbiage or lose impact in meaning.

I read applications with the intent to skim them for trigger words like a stereotypical HR person, but I confess to marking them up like a term paper. You would think, if ever there was a place, the resume would be a person's best written form, but it isn't. If it is I wonder what their daily wordplay looks like. It says a lot about you when you put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard, or open your suck and make noises in recognizable sequences. Language, both written and spoken is how we express our thoughts to the world and ewe no, this rite hear gets passed spell check, butt its knot correct. Anyone who pays attention will catch it, recognize how little effort someone put into it and file it appropriately.

No you're not alone. I also grimace when I see bad grammar in use, as well as people that feel they must type ebonically to appear hip. (It just doesn't work).

Do your thoughts on grammar belong in the Politics or General Chat forum? I only ask because your opinion implies following a set of standards and clearly this isn't a political topic. Not that it bothers me in the slightest, I'm just saying :poke:

People that don't put forth their best effort when approaching any form of employment should be culled from the herd.

I put it here because I was called out a few months ago for being a Grammar Nazi by one particular Russian New Jersey native. So, just on the off-chance he happens by here again, he'll see that I'm not the only person that thinks proper use of spelling and punctuation go a long way in presenting a clear case.
