What's up? I just picked up a 91SE hatchback. it has 95K miles on it. anyhow, I've replaced spark plugs(cables will be done this weekend), replaced a leaking valve cover gasket(was a very small leak, but changed it to be safe),replaced the distributor cap,and had a shop do a tune up.I threw in a K&N air filter for now. I still need to replace the brake rotors, rear spoiler(it's kinda mushy is that normal?), catalytic converter has a leak.

can anyone :help me with coming up with the most cost effective way of getting this sucker to 200RWHP?

I know i can change the headers, exhaust, pulleys(which ones i don't know) and throw on a CAI, but i figure that'll only get me maybe to 160-165RWHP. I want MORE. This Right wheel driv ecar needs to have more power than it's garage brother(my 02 Spec V) right now the spec is :poke the 240 and that ain't right.

I've already figured out what I'm gonna do suspension wise, and cosmetically wise, i just want to make sure it is fast enough to walk the walk(an engine transplant is not an option) :alcoholic

P.S. I've found some info so i have done my searching. Now i just need some details. Spanks

Have you thought about turbo? I have no idea how much you might end up spending, or how difficult it is, but it seems to be a pretty popular option for a hp boost, especially past 200 whp. If it seems too expensive, you can also look into N2O, which again is another popular and cost effective option for increased horsepower. Keep us posted on your choices.

Mushy is normal, its some kinda foam over a metal core. Check the hatch under the middle of the spoiler for rust. VERY common problem.

well it has rust so :(, i don't want to take it off till i get something to replace it to plug the holes in it.

As far as turboing it, it's not out of the question but would it require getting lower compression pistons? NO2 is not an option. I will never use that stuff on any car i own. I want real power that only requires me pressing on the gas pedal, not a big red shiney button.

If i do go turbo would i need an intercooler or is that only really required for the big*** turbos?
