Can you give us some more details? Is this a new-to-you car? Did you recently modify it? Have you checked out our 240sx tech page? http://www.240sxtech.com/

I've owned this car for about 4yrs..I'm pretty familiar with the car and motor. I recently installed a new clutch, and then would not start(no spark) after the new clutch. I swapped out to another dizzy. ive checked dizzy(s) resistance and volts when wired up. they both seem to get power but no spark. i'm getting air and fuel just no spark at coil. ecu gives code 21 and stays solid red when not asking for codes.
need a little help.. thanks for the replys

*edit: its a stock 95 ka24de motor

That's simple. You either forgot to reconnect or have damaged the ignition signal wire when you did the clutch. Check the wires leading from the 4-wire plug that comes off the coil.

yea i've checked them.. its internal coil dizzy that has only two wire plug. is the crankshaft position senor supposed to get 12v? cuz the harness to that sensor has no power, but all the other transmission sensors have power. im thinking the ecu isn't sending the signal to coil. thanks again

Oh you have the obd2 model 95 then, sorry bud. But code 0201 means ignition signal, and maybe you got a bad replacement distributor? It's a common problem from what I hear...

If the distributor itself was bad, you wouldn't have the injectors firing. It has to be an issue with the coil itself. Can you replace just the coil, or do you have to replace the whole thing?

i did replace the whole dizzy with another used one, and no luck. But im thinking something went wrong with the ecu. is there a reason why the red light on the ecu stays solid red, beside when i ask for codes? Marry X-Mas everyone, cheers! from the south!

Been a while since I messed with a KA, but I think that is normal.

Ive bought a new crankshaft position sensor, and swaped in a 3rd dizzy with no spark still. im guessing the ecu is the prob. will a 96 mt ecu work in a 95 mt obd2 car?

as long as you're sure it's an OBD2 95, then it should work.
