Hey what's up everyone I'm new here. I sold my 2004 Toyota 4Runner on Thursday and yesterday afternoon I picked this up...

It's a 2004 and somehow only has 47,800 miles on it. I'm not wanting to make it ricey, but I would like to do a couple minor things to customize it a little bit maybe. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

I payed $16,000 for it. And to whoever said something about the exhaust and rims, it has nice wheels already if you ask me and dual exhaust...

16????? freakin fiddle flares!!!!! I pain 17,999.90 after tax tags registration and dealercrap, and I'm an employee!!!! But the car was credited at 16,500 when the previous owner traded it in for a new EX... anyway, good deal! The guys here mean to go get yourself an intake kit, or at least a Z tube for 7 extra HP and an exhaust to make it unique to your liking, and get a few HP. I see its an automatic trans. Does it have nav? or just a premium package? or a base model? welcome to nico!

I'm not exactly sure what the premium package would be on it. It does have a bose sound system and those upgraded wheels, but no navigation system. So I'm guessing the wheels and sound system were just options.

Welcome to NICO

Looks like you got a good deal! Did you do a carfax search? 16k seems a bit low...

The exhaust is a dual outlet from the factory (common mid-pipe). There are aftermarket companies that make it a "true dual" exhaust.

The 03-04 have a known issue with the stereo deck, so I would plan on doing an upgrade. Search the forum for more info.

Here's what I would do:

- JWT or Stillen PopCharger intake- Z-tube- Motordyne 5/16ths spacer- Motordyne lower plenum (if 6MT)- Stillen/HKS/Greddy CAT-back exhaust- clear corner lights- Stereo upgrade

Those wheels may be OK for you, but not for me.

As mentioned, you have a dual outlet muffler, not a true dual exhaust.

There is one way to make you car stand out without being ricey... everything joe603 said
