hi,

i'm new to this club. i read some of the vert forums and liked what i saw. i own a 89 white coupe shell and a 92 black vert. i bought the 89 in july (my first 240) with no trans, rust everywhere, beat to crap with some dope ame wheels and i wanted to restore it. put about 40hrs of work into and then it sat.

then i got the chance to by the 92 vert about a month ago for $900. i scooped it up and it became my new project. the first thing i did was the sleepy eyes mod.

since then i removed my back seat and have started building a rear seat subwoofer box. i also made some rear speaker pods to be mounted where that plate in the back that holds the factory speaker grills. (i do work at an audio shop so this is the easy quick part for me.)

i think there will be alot more mods withing the next year. i have already started to get parts for a 5-sd swap. i have a 5sd transmission, fidanza flywheel and just ordered an exedy stage 2 cluch. also i have ordered the sealed beam conversion headlight assemblys (instead of the stock sealed beams i can put aftermarket bulbs in) I was thinking gold HID's. we have a little group of 240's here and we want to do one thing witht he same sheme.

hopefully (most likely) a KA-T will be in the works. sooner or later a body kit with 20mm front and 50mm rear fenders/overfenders. suspention ideas??? i'm would like to order an APEXi duel N1 exauhst.

my goal for this car is to be a daily driver, but be able to have fun and hold it's own. as far as the driver.... lol.... i'm used to driving huge boats. (i still have a 95 dodge intrepid, i built for a show car..)

possibly today or tomorrow i will post some picks of the car with some work i've done this month.

Welcome Moulton!

Hey Dex.. he's prob. closer to Canada than we are!

$900 for a 'vert?! Nice find!!!!

As for your question on the suspension... I'd have to recommend KYB AGX and a set of lowering springs (S-techs, Megan, etc...). If you can afford the $850+ for coilovers.. go for it. But, they might not give you the ride you are looking for (unless you like bone rattling).

Anyhow.. welcome to the 'vert forum! Glad to have you aboard. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help out.

what do you think, ish? can we let him join our "(un)official canadian s13 vert owners" club?

i'm still closer to canada than either of you... but when it comes to northern latitude, you guys have me beat. i'm hovering around 43.4*N while moulton is around 43.9*N and seth has us beat by a long shot coming in around 44.5*N!

we should start a nico club for ourselves... kind of like the "night crew" or whatever.

thanks guys for comments.

i do want to get great suspention. i think my price range is about $1,000-$1,500

my convertable had a bit of damage cosmetically in the rear. i was able to replace the trunk with the onw from the 89. it wasn't a perfect match but the fitment was as good as i'll get for free. i took off the back bumper too, and i haven't put the white one i have on yet cause i'm really thinking of getting the origin streamline body kit. i really need to order the rear over fenders cause there is some body rot on the driver side. a previous owner shot some spray foam in there and clogged the drain tube.

i haven't wanted to put much time into the car yet, i'm fighting to get my license back cause my brother skrewed me over. 2 more weeks..

i will start a new thread with the work i have done thus far
