I have been kinda reading around the forums these last few days, trying to see if there was information I could use. Mainly, I'm just wondering if there is anything I should look into changing soon, or any specific maintenance I should know.Where is the easiest place to get oil filters?Which oil is recommended?Which plugs are good?

Sorry for all the newb questions

What has been done already? how about some pics?

most people put on a new water pump because they are rusty from sitting so long. while you got everything apart--- look at where your crank collar drives the oil pump--(Early rb's had a problem of being too short). timing belt, how good is was install? does it run right?

Its pretty much stock, only modifications are HKS intake kit, Kakimoto exhaust, custom dp. The swap was done by Syko Performace. It made 355whp, and drives perfectly.I read about the crank collar, so I might have to check that. Its an R32 RB26, with an RB25DET transmission with GTR bellhousing. Its been converted to a pull type clutch, but I'm not totally sure what means.

You don't need to do the crank collar unless you're going to be redlining it on a regular basis (track car, drift car, ect..)

If you're only looking to do mantainance, you can do oil and water pumps and spark plugs. The pumps are a lot easier to do while the engine's out of the car tho, and if you do that you should install a gasket kit also.

How much did you pay for that??

I wish I would have bought my car done already!!!

The Pull type clutch was in the late R33's and Definetly R34's don't know about anything else.Usually people want the Push type clutch, because its cheaper. I guess they had one handy.??

Check out How Stuff Works.comClutches

Instead of the Release bearing pushing on the fingers of the clutch spring, your clutch pulls on the fingers to release the clutch.

Well I wont be tracking the car on a regular basis, but it will go to the drag strip atleast once, maybe hit up some road course, and alittle street racing. But for the most part, it will be babied. The shop changed the water pump, belts, heater and radiator hoses.Yes the wheels are SSR Integrals in 17x9 with c-west overfenders.I got the car all done for a good price I beleive. The swap is VERY clean, done by Gary Narusawa himself, the president of Syko Performance. You might remember his blue ITB SR20 S13 that was in Super Street a couple years back.

The difference between a push type and pull type pressure plate is the way the clutch is disengaged. On the push type, the diaphragm is pushed by the release bearing when you press the clutch pedal. On a pull type, the release bearing pulls on the diaphragm to release the clutch. Push type systems are easier to assemble since the release bearing doesn’t have to be attached to the diaphragm, while pull type systems are more efficient because there is less flex due to the shorter “A” distance as shown in the diagram. On a pull type system the cover has load in only one direction for engagement or release, where the push type is loaded in opposite directions which means more deflection (flex).

Sweet looking car by the way. A good friend of mine runs high 10's on stock turbo's with a 150 direct port Nitrous Express kit, R33 GTR though.
