Just make sure you spend money on the rods. Every KA-T i've seen lets go of the stock rods eventually.

Congrats on the Holset! I've got one languishing in the garage that I might put on the CA one day. It's huge though. I'd need another turbo or a supercharger to spool it, LOL!

It is pretty massive lol, I'm thinking the 2.4 will be okay though. Float, do you have any experience with megasquirt?

I used to have it on my CA. It wasn't too bad, the only real problem I ran into was that there arent to many people in my area that have worked with it. I got rid of MS2 for Nistune. Contact Tim (r34gtr) as he has ran it on his CA for years now. He should be able to answer any questions for you.

Hai. Check out Megasquirt 3, it looks nucking futz. sequential injection/ignition with individual cylinder tuning? yessir. Sign me up.

Edit: I forgot to mention how deliciously cheap it is.

Megasquirt II is nice. Super cheap, gets the job done, and my car idles (idled) better than it ever did with the stock ECU.

Thanks for input R34. Did you assemble the kit yourself, and did u use a relay kit or run the oem relays?

DEEP,

I run a megasquirt as well. The relay kit is for converting a car from carb to EFI (and for neat freaks!). With the CA18 the only relay you need is the fuel pump and it takes 3 seconds to hookup. If you assemble the kit your self buy a decent solder station I don't recommend using a regular pen solder stick thing (but people have done this).

DEEP, also for the 1995-1998 KA24DE you have have to change the ignition... ether do a trigger wheel (lots of work) or convert it to the 91-94 ignition system.

have fun.
