Yesterday, I went down to L.A. with the intention of buying an RX-7 turbo II. However, upong getting there, I found that the RX-7 had broken rubber seals in the back suspension which gave you whiplash. Also, the interior was horrible, the turbo was going out and it couldn't start without a charger. So, I went to go see the 240sx I was also intending to buy. Now this thing is ugly, there is a dent in the passenger side door and the paint is soooooo ghetto. BUT, it runs smooooooooooooooth and really strong. It is a 93 red-top with a supra fuel pump. My goals are 250rwhp, as I am only 17 and i realize that I still have some youthful stupidity left. So, yeah, I got a 240sx, and this thing is better than bad.

RX-7 Turbo's are time machines waiting to blow up. They're truly awesome cars, but from what I've heard, keep it stock and follow the maintenance schedule as closely as possible.

And, it being a rotary, don't over-rev it or the engine goes boom. :)

Actually, rotaries take to overrevving extremely well. That's now what causes them to blow.

I got it for $5000. It was all done at Cartune motorsports. I've done a few swaps in my life and this one is incredibly well done. I only have gripes about the seats and the body. Both of which are in not very good condition. Paint faded, spray painted and 2 dents. But all will be fixed. And, ricing = suck. I am actually in the process of ripping off all the stickers on there. And boy is it tough. I keep thinking i"m going to scratch the paint. But like I care right now. I'm going to shave the labels in the back, so no Nissan and no SE. Because both stickers are VERY VERY VERY faded and cracked. So no point in keeping them. I'm also going to either trade someone for 16"s as I have 17" Katanas (not very good) or even 15"s with some wide tires. I can't believe my tires are only 205, I wonder how they stick to the ground... must be the suspension I've got under there. =D

I thought so too, but my dad didn't want to go through all that work. So he just said to get something that was like this.

Thanks everyone. Let me just say this. This car is AMAZING! Pulls hard in first and when you shift to second the tires like to spin. The suspension is rock hard and super awesome. It is such a sleeper. Boy howdy, I love this car. Now I just need some paint, some dent fixing and a PDM lip and I'll be happy for a LOOOOONG time.

If you'd like the ins and outs of turboing the KA24DE either stop by the KADET forum or email directly at [email protected]The KADET forum has alot of great info for cheap HP. Remember the only stupid question is the one you forgot to ask.

Hey thanks everyone. I like car communities like this. The only other ones I've found like this are the MR2 boards and partially the RX-7 boards. Funny how the true japanese sports car communities are often better than the econobox communities...
