....cuz I just bought my first S13! hahaHey guys/girls, my name is Justin, I'm 19, currently attend NCSU for chemical engineering and I've been around these forums for the past 8 months just working and saving money to buy a 240 and today that finally happened. The rundown, 1991 240sx hatchback, manual, ~170,XXX miles, base model(which I love), needs some TLC, timing chain rattle, needs a new BMC, but other than those necessities the car runs great! By the way i paid 1300. It maybe too much for some but the body has no dents, little to no rust, extra driver's side fender. I love it!The plans for it are just spend money on the maintenance and get the car running excellent then see how she runs while I drive her to college and back, then while I work during college save money and if everything goes to plan start modifying her next summer. Now to pics:(my mom took the pics and these are before i washed her so I will have better ones 2morrow)

^the pops^ME!

looks like a decent start but if an 18 year old car puts you in the poor house you need a new job

Heh its true, maybe even more often. AT LEAST one a day and thats just what ive seen from this forum, they get passed around a lot.

Your car looks like a nice start, not bad for 1300 imo. Is your driver side marker clear and your passenger orange? heh Thats weird at least people only see one side at once. Your yard looks real nice i wish my grass was green like that...

nice, everybody has to start somewhere.

now go register on carolinanissans.com. there's 5 or 6 guys that go to state and i'm willing to bet you've seen them around.

I've tried to register on CN but it says the board administrator is no longer accepting new members at this moment.

as promised here are some more pics. The pics at the top of the page are when i first got the car off the trailer and these are after a wash, wax, vacuuming twice, turtle wax ice on the interior, and febreze on the fabric. We didnt wax the roof cus the clear is peeling, any pointers on best solution for that?

i believe you gotta get in touch with the administrator. they've done it mainly because of being spammed. he'll allow your IP, etc etc. either way just lurk it and find out when/where the next wednesday night meet is and just come on out.

awsome start! congrats on the purchase.

first couple of things i would do if was you (in my opinion) is find a set of stock alloys, there usually cheap i got my set for 125.00.

then remove the cloth from the doors and reapolster your glovebox with black vinyl, makes the interior look alot cleaner.

Welcome! I think as long as I own a 240 I will stay poor. All I can say is plan a tight budget because everything is always more expensive than you plain.

What are your plains for the s13?

My plans right now are just get it road worthy with regular maintenance and then see how it runs next year at college then modify next summer if everything goes alright. And im not going sr on this one anytime soon cuz i dont have the money and there is plenty potential in the ole KA

UPDATE DATE DATE DATE DATE DATE!!!!! (read that like an echo)

So last week I bought an uncracked s13 dash for 100 bucks and this weekend decided to put it in. I also decided that while I was switching dashes I might as well freshen up the carpet. Well here it goes.

Saturday started like this.

After about 2 hrs...

Then Sunday, dyed the carpet with Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric (after a through cleaning of course)

After the carpet dried and another 2 hrs later......

AND the mint dash...
