And I'm having a hell of a time getting the middle bellhousing bolt on the driver side off, could someone give me a suggestion on how to break it loose?

When haveing problems removeing a bolt, use penatrating lube. After that use a impact gun. If you dont have one, use a wrench with a pipe. I have 1', 2', and 3' pipes. They work great, but there is always the chance of snapping the bolt. Just letting you know. Go slow. Put the pipe on the end of the wrench and push. Torque= Force x distance . The pipe adds distance.

Or hit the wrench with a hammer or something. Also, don't be afraid to bust your knuckles; it's going to happen.

I tried putting wd-40 on it and using the wrench with a pole like you said but it just doesn't wanna come off, it's such a small space that its hard to really do anything with it.

I just went through the same thing on a auto s14 and I know it sucks but it took me like 15 minutes to brake loose all the bolts. If you have the right tools and small hands its not a big deal. The way to take it off the bolt directly in on top of the bellhousing you need to be on the passenger side and make some room by the EGR. I'm located on the north side of Chicago if u really can't get them off let me know maybe I'm gonna find some time to help you out for some gas money or something.

Try going under the car with a really long extension. Thats what I used for all of my bolts.

You could try heating the bolt, that worked for me on several occasions during my 5-speed conversion.

wd-40 is not a good rust penetrant. use pb blaster or kroil for best results. as a matter of fact, azhitman made a post in gen chat about using atf+acetone.

also, before you start torching things, be conscious of what you sprayed on that area before you introduce flame.

LOL yes, be careful! I just used a small blow torch, got one from Home Depot for like 25 bucks. Has come in really handy several other times too with rusty bolts, wiring (came with a soldering tip), etc. PB come in a black can and is also very effective.

Drop the trans down a little on the mount, get a super long impact extension, an impact swivel, and a impact socket and gun.

Pull trigger.

you could even unbolt the x member drop the trans, and support it with a jack, might give you a little more room. i just did the 5 speed swap last month, lots of fun. good luck!!
