Hi new to the Forum. Had to replace my car because she was demolished in a crash (not my fault). After driving a car for the last month (rental) I started to miss the handling of a car. Being a little jealous of the power in my husband's car (08 Vette, sorry guys I started looking at a few cars and he suggested a G37X. It was love at first sight !! I went and drove it and didn't want to get out of the car. We were going to get an 09, but decided to wait for 2010 since there are slight changes that appealed to me. Now I can't stand the waiting, when are they coming, dealer says "any day now"......

07 Hyundai Santa Fe..It was my first SUV and I liked the confidence of an AWD vehicle but I really miss the car handling and fun of a car.

Similar deal for me. My G37 replaced a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer that was my daily driver for about 4 years. I realized that I missed the fun of my weekend car during my weekday driving, and also concluded that I didn't really need the "U" (in SUV) since I don't haul a lot of passengers or cargo. After relocating to TX, I really didn't need 4WD either, so it was out with the practical but insipid SUV, and in with the fun and inspiring G.

Congrats on your purchase!

Here in CO some dealers are showing the 10s in their inventory, not sure if they really have them yet though. I broke down and bought an 09 two weeks ago after getting a great deal and deciding the changes weren't worth waiting for for me. Love the G

Congratulations! I actually traded in my 05 Santa Fe on my 07 G35X. I'd had sports cars until the Santa Fe - the wife said I needed something the kids would fit in and be safe in. As soon as I drove the G35X it was a must have.

Any idea what color / options you're looking for?

Not to thread jack, but it's nice to see someone else from Highlands Ranch on the boards. What color G37Xs do you have? Mine is in my avatar and numerous other threads somewhere on here.

I originally wanted Liquid Platinum with graphite interior, but then I saw the white with wheat and wood....I'm a girl, I think it's beautiful . The husband has an 08 Vette (black) and has quickly become Mr. Detailer, so of course, he thinks everything is better black . Must haves are NAV, Premium package and the tech package. Torn between saving big on an 09 or waiting & getting a 2010. Probably not going to be any big breaks on 2010 when they hit here I'm sure. I don't know what to do

CONGRATS!!!!! I could not do it, however, I don't have the patience.....plus, I'm too cheap to pass up the deals on the 09's!!!

Welcome to Nico!!

Oh, and white/wheat/wood is a great combo!! This is what the wife originally wanted, but we could not pass the deal on the used 08 G35X!!!!

So, I do VOTE for getting a 09 and saving the $$$$

I'm the same way. I was able to get $7500 off sticker on my 09. I would imagine it will be difficult to get $1000 off on a 10 model when they first roll out. The delta was too large for me to wait (and pay) for some cosmetic changes.

As for the color, I'm a dude, but I actually wanted the white/wheat combo myself. But again, the dealer had extra inventory of black on black models they were aggressively pricing to move them, and the savings were substantial enough for me to pull a 180 on my color preference.

I replaced my 04 mustang with an 09 g37, and it drives like a sports sedan should! its, dare i say..perfect. I was at infiniti yesterday returning my loaner and the dealer said in a few months they'll release the 2010. Whats the difference though? i think their the same no? but but..hopefully the wait isnt to long to ya ENJOY AND CONGRATS AGAIN

I went with Platinum Graphite with Graphite interior. Infiniti dropping that color was one of the deciding factors for going with an 09 instead of a 10. Although I'm sure one of the new colors will be very close if not the same.

you live in Jeff county Wv. right? how far is that from Columbus, Ohio?

I bought mine there, and they have a good selection of 2010s. Also, they will service your car by coming and get it bringing a loaner, and return your car, for free, as in no transportation fees.

They do this as far away as Detroit, Indy, and NE PA, so they would probably do it for you too.

Call 1-614-793-1000 (Infiniti of Columbus) and ask for Steve Graham, the salesman I had. he's great. tell him Bill Christy sent you.
