It would seem to me that it will still have a lot of age issues....

Rubber, under plenum stuff...brake hoses... I don't know where the car spent it's life..but Mt. Pleasant is a beach community.

Plus burgundy and white.....please....

I would also argue that leaving a car sit as often as that one is not good for it... my guess is that it did a lot of 3-5 mile trips when it was on the road..

Keep talking Natsoundup... one of my so-called friends here in Columbia is not helping much.. saying stuff like "imagine opening your garage and having Garnet and Black Q's in there..." I'm a huge USC Game**** fan. (damn auto censor) I'll be broke soon...

I've already ordered a large chain and ankle bracket to keep me on house arrest for the next nine days. It's an addiction!!!

I thought Heath and I had early build #s! That car is easily worth $12K+, especially when you consider what it takes to make something that nice again cosmetically.

I like that car a lot too. It's been my fantasy to buy a very low mile Q and put a 4.11 rear on it, JWT ECU/TCU and leave stock otherwise.

hmmmm..

I'd think it's the second-lowest mileage old Q we've seen for a while. I think there's one in Canada in the 30K range, and then my "Q2" with 47K in third place. Actually I think there's one more in CA somewhere in the low 50K range.

It's just rare to find one in this condition - most are trashed.

Just for general info. in case anyone from this board is seriously considering this car... I talked to the owner yesterday by phone. He purchased it at an auction in FL last week. The service records have been purged, so I don't think it's seen a dealership anytime recently - but the master cylinder looks new, so who knows... I asked him to find out what city it's from in FL in case the records are on a dealership's local servers, but I haven't heard back from him yet. The car originated in Black River Falls Wisconsin, but the seller speculated that it was probably brought down by a "snow bird" who lives a few miles from the shopping center with a drug and grocery store.

The car is definately out of my price range at this point - I don't need another project right now... Q2 has been hanging out in my garage for over a year now! I was considering it before it got over $6K. It would be nice to have another low mileage spare in case something happened to Q2 shortly after putting her in service!

I guess all I'm saying is that I hope someone looks over the car really closely to see what's been done (plenum hoses, A/C, rubber suspension components, etc.) or at least plans on replacing them after they buy it.

Man it is beautiful though...
