I'm in a dilemna

Well one of the managers at work wants my car and he asked me if I wanted to sell it before, and I said no. Well today he was looking at it again and he started out at $4000 and ended at a $5000 offer in about 5 minutes. I really don't know what to do. I love my car, but money talks as you all know. By the way, my car has: 165k, 5 speed, '91 LE, bomex body kit, Tein HE coilovers, rims with pirelli's. What would you all do??

mmm i dont kno, seems like u put some money into it but it has some high mileage. do u plan on doing an engine swap?

I paid $2300 for the car two years ago(put about 20k miles on it) and it was a one owner car. I was thinking about doing a swap if I ever get the money saved(in college). I might be able to take the coilovers off and sell them seperate if I did sell the car to him. If I hold out until I leave for school, he might offer me more. I love my 240 though, so I'm just not sure what to do.

Wait 5 more minutes and sell it to him for $6K. Seriously, I'd be hesitant to sell a car to my boss. If something major went wrong with it shortly after he bought it, it could get uncomfortable for you at work particularly around review time

He already told me he'd pull the motor and drop an SR in it, along with other work. He's got an '03 Mustang SVT Cobra, so he's got money. I would have to look at how much money I have into the car, to see if I would be making or losing money on the deal, but probably losing money at the $5000. I have about another month until I leave, so I'll just wait and see if he offers me more for it.

I have the original suspension, but not the original wheels. I'm not sure if he would buy the car without the mods. I'd have to talk to him more about it anyway.

if u love it dont do it. for 5k u would def be losin out and always miss it. i love mine too but im ready to sell it once i fix it cuz its jsut gettin on my nerves and not what im lookin for anymore. im stickin with 240s just not body kits and all the show. all performance after this one

God, it sounds like he wants to do it because its the new COOL thing to do... Don't sell it to him but have him sponsor you in racing, that way you can both have fun (tell him you'll let him drive once and a while):ylsuper

Though I get nervouse when I hear that the 1st thing a person is gonna do it swap the motor to an SR. What about the suspension?!?! What about the brakes or putting in an LSD!? Dunno what you have done to the car, maybe those are taken care of in which case its up to you.
