I've had my G37 for a couple days now and after giving the engine and clutch a nice massaging, I decided to really explore the audio. Today I plugged in the ipod interface for the first time and WOW! First off, the interface alone is fantastic. It's like a little itunes window on your Nav screen. I didn't realize how much control you have over the songs, playlists, etc. Maybe this is more common with infinitis, but its a new feature for me. I'm tempted to get a second ipod and just leave it in the arm rest.

Second, the sound is extremely rich and much better than any factory system I've ever listened to for cars in the G37 price point/class. (I've heard good things about the IS350 ML system but I can't speak to that). Great job Infiniti... yet another aspect of this car that keeps me smiling and my friends envious!

The Studio on Wheels by Bose system is ok. I hate not having a midrange adjustment however... additionally, the highs are not as clean as the Mark Levinson system's.

Overall, the ML is a much better system, which seems to be very clean and tight sounding. The Bose gives you a little more bass, but not as good midrange/highs.

It's amazing how Bose is marketed as a high-end upgrade, and yet it barely makes the mark...

BTW, I am comparing the system in my G37 and my Lexus SC430. Lexus sedans have considerably better bass response... my prior GS was heads and shoulders over the Bose.

I take your word on the Marks Lev system. I've heard it was pretty good.

As for the Bose, I agree, it would be nice to have control over the mid and sub ranges. They claim that it was designed after a hi-end home audio system and any high-end home system I know of at least allows adjustment over the sub. I had that with my Acura also.

Still I pleased with it. Maybe I'll add a powered sub down the road. That said, there are so many other positives on this car.

I think that the quality is fantastic. Although, I will prob add in a small sub down the road for a good balance....I dont want to look hood rich but have some power you know...
