"They first became available in stores in 1954. Originally, they were very inexpensive. According to advertising lectures at Iowa State University, people did not buy them at first because there was no perceived value. When the price was raised, people began buying them. "

Americans have turned them into delightful white trash shepards pies:

They're almost impossible to find outside of a grade school cafeteria, and people might object to me showing up at the local elementary school and standing in line for lunch. Sonic has them but they're never properly cooked.

Total junk thread. Time to go biking bbl.

Tater Tots are good. Hard Times Cafe uses them at the bottom of their chili bowls. I also buy them frozen.

i remember in middle school when i'd make sure i got me some tater tots so i wouldn't have to eat the school terrible pizza and other lunch items. Tater tots are definitely a tie for second with hash browns. First is my beloved boiled whole potato.

The Sonic near me does them right most of the time.

I occasionally pick up the "store brand" of them and leave them in the oven an extra 5 minutes or so. They also have a Tater Rounds version which is basically a shorter Tater Tot.

Tater tots are delicious, and they are good from Sonic.

I wish the weather was nice for a bike ride.

I like crispy crowns better. They are thinner and get a better crunch and toast.

Although Sweet potatoes fries are where its at, tots are so 5minutes ago.

I throw them into a breakfast hash of sorts. Onions, bacon, eggs, cheese, bacon, whatever else I want.

I'll eat anything, I've been called a raccoon by my friends because of my eating habits, but tater tots just aren't appetizing at all.

I'm writing my congressman. Hopefully they pass a law requiring them to be served alongside all meats.

Dam, I was just ganna say I add cajun seasoning to mine. Its even more disgustingly good with a side of Ranch.

That goes for fries too.

Nom. I think I'm gonna go get some now. And that Shepard's Pie thing looks delicious. That's just my white trash coming out, though.

Taco Time.

You can get get them "plain" or stuffed with a cheesey sauce and diced jalapenos.

Far superior to Sonic's tots, Taco Times are always crispy and golden-brown.

I dunno why anyone refers to Sonic about anything, they serve the worst food and all you get out of it is a chick on roller skates.

You haven't lived until you've tried Taco John's Potato Ole's. They are fantastic! The are "crowns".. the short style tots, but come perfectly fried with some fantastic mexican style seasoning.. YUMMY!

The only menu items I enjoy at Sonic are the fruity drinks during happy hour, and they are quite awesome.
