Thats the more interesting track too, am I correct? It has some left and right turns, not just one circle...?

Um... no, no right turns. I think the most interesting track has a triangular track. Still as exciting as Mr1der doing basic math, not very. Its actually kinda sad.....

Come on, don't hate guys. If it's not your driving sport/style of choice, that's great, but there is some skill involoved.

The 2 roadcourses are on the verge of being dropped as the teams have to build cars speciall for these 2 tracks, where other cars can be used at more (not all) tracks.

Skill, thats why alot of teams pay road course drivers to drive the cars lol.

There are 3 "Road Course Ringers" and those guys have great skill and track knowledge, but if you look at the qualifying, several "Road Course Ringers" try to make the race and don't.

Boris Said, Scott Pruett and Ron Fellows and I think Ron only tries at the Glen.

I personally would like to see a 2nd NASCAR race at Indy, with them using the F1 style course.

I knew I could count on at least one person finding the joy in Lawn Mower Racing that I did. Thanks for not letting me down :D.

Actually it's a beautiful course, big elevation changes, long sweeping turns. Very fast. I had bounced off my 240sx's speed limiter a few times there (on the straight before the chicane or "bustop"). I ran on the full course, not the small part that NASCAR uses.

The whole area is gorgeous because you're in the Finger Lake region, lotsa wineries. huge state park. Nice place.

Fiz, where are you staying?

What is required to run your car on a track like that?

Very little. Audi Club membership (maybe $44?) gives you access. Their two day track events (schools) normall run between $275-$375 depending on the track. The price usually includes a banquet dinner. Your car (any make) just has to pass a simple tech inspection, no special equipment required. I did a bunch of these events in a bone stock S13. Don't need a hi horsepower car to have fun or be fast. Definately beats doing donuts in parking lots.

Id like to see the Max hit the track. It'll be more fun if it was RWD though.

You'd be surprised how much fun FWD cars are on the track. They're just not popular with drifters. You'd also be amazed by the variety of people and cars that show up to these things. Ranging from a guy with his sisters totally stock FWD Civic (he was surprisingly quick) to a guy in a Cup Challenge Ferrari 355.
