Buried in the ground in my backyard for 6 months....I hope I don't die when I eat it.
Kidding...but I am letting it sit in my fridge for a couple days.

it's pickled fermented cabbage. it it frikkin awesome!!! the spicier it is the better!! imo

so... how did it turn out? pix?

n' really..... really, tell the truth, how bad did it smell when u first opened the jar

Yeah... i looked it up on Google when I first saw this. Rotten Cabbage... yum! :D

Guess I shouldn't say it that way... big difference between fermented and rotten... and I like fermented :cheers:

had some for lunch (and a SH3EEET load of korean buffet) and it was soo good. I've never made it before though. I was told it stinks up the whole house.

I didn't make it hot enough.
The smell wasn't terrible...actually made my mouth instantly water.
With a little more pep it'll be really good.
Next time I'll have pictures.

Haha, my Dad lived in Korea for a couple years. He could withstand the stuff, but he never said he liked it. He said it largely consisted of cabbage and gasoline. Can't exactly say I'm dying to try the stuff.

Have another craving for it...this time I'll take pictures of the rotting plant material.
You either love it or you can't stand it. I happen to love the fiery, slightly fizzy, slightly sour stuff.
