I think I'm going to buy a Twin Turbo kit for my 350, rather than dealing with all the BS thats involved when you trying to install an RB26 motor into my car. So is there anything that I need to do to the motor before getting the turbo kit installed. I trying to create a shopping list " if you know what I mean"

I'm not a Z guy but I'm guessing beefier forged internals and slightly lower comp. pistons will help. Do a search and see what you find. I'm sure it's all in here somewhere. Good luck with the project!

I'm not sure yet. I'm looking at quite a few different kits at themoment. I was told that SST makes some good Turbo kits. But I'm not sure witch one I'm going to go with yet.

SST? never heard of them you mean STS? they make the rear mounts, I don't even know if they make a kit for the Z but all the extra piping = greater pressure drop, they run cooler but they also need oil ruturn pumps, a typicap turbo setup would simply drin into your oil pan

you might want to searcha nd read up on various kits

I don't think this guy has any clue as to what he's getting into. OP, first you must learn the kits that are available to the z...Google is your friend

Yes, it's a different forum and site all together but it's a great write up for first timers and for people who just need to do research on their Z before going turbo. The writer describes every kit, fuel system, block…. goes on. Just recommend you use all your resources when discussing something like this. Besides Google will probably link you to this topic if you search right.

i don't believe in kits, if you're going to turbo an n/a car do it right. build the block build the head put a turbo worth while 3.5L could easily spooin gt35 and up and get a GOOD tune i've witnessed so many people build cars and cheap out on a tune and wreck their motors

merry xmas by the way

350Z's can run boost on stock internals up to a certain extent.

Don't forget you'll need other things besides a TT kit, they don't come with intercoolers, and ECU's ya know.
