I've decided to sell my G. I have thought long and hard. I want FI but I am afraid that if I put a turbo on this thing it will blow up on me. I wish the compression wasn't so high or it had forged internals. I saved up the money to get a turbo, now I'm second guessing myself. You guys have been awesome, best forum around.

What cars are you thinking of going with?

I am thinking of 2000-02 Audi S4. I drove a stock one and was very impressed. I am searching for a Saphire blue 95 Supra also. I would like a car that has 2 turbos and goes 125mph at the strip. Although I never make time to go.

A low psi(like 8) intercooled turbo will be fine on stock internals. Also you can always use some sort of water injection.

We have a member here with an 07G35 sedan and the 07 S4. He says his S4 was more in the service then on the road. You might want to think about it. It is your option and your money just saying. Hard to find a good reliable car especially when they are 6-7 years old.

Whatever your decision is don't be a stranger here.

Why opt for a turbo when you can still have some decent power with superchargers without rebuilding the motor? Our motors have been found to be reliable with Vortech superchargers at 7 PSI and in some cases up to 9 PSI. The stillens, though with less power (6 PSI) is almost like a part of the VQ engine---even more reliable---some dealerships sell 350Zs with Stillen SC right out of the box.

I haven't heard of anyone having issues with the Vortech in their engine, except for the auto transmissions which have to be fortified, and except for a poorly tuned Vortech SC. And the reliability of the VQ engine is still remarkably unbeleivable, for a high compression engine.

Why don't you install a SC in your G, and then go out there and find an SR20DET engine and put in a Sentra and have two fun cars---one a supercharger, the other a turbo. This would be a dream come true for me.

I really feel a turbo is a time bomb regardless of the car and compression--perhaps much less for a low compression car---I could be wrong here. if you really want a turbo, why don't you rebuild your VQ engine with forged internals and then install. If not, stick with the stock internals and buy yourself a SC. Just my 2 cents. Its your car.

Zozo- I am aware that Audi's are high maintance. I am willing to sacrifice money and time for the smile that follows when getting on the x-way in a 11 second car. Besides I think I can fix anything but a broken heart...enough beer and I could fix that too.

As long as you happy all that matters. I just did not know if you aware of the situation.

So the car hunting started already?

Get an STI, upgrade the turbo, and get some full 3" piping.

Get a Supra, upgrade to a single turbo and WOW!!!

Keep your G, keep on riding in style, and put on what you wish, I've seen a G35 coupe tuned by VSR racing in Cali passing Ferraris and other crazy cars. 18 psi, it shot up over 170mph in seconds on the dyno, 900+whp, THAT IS IMPREESSIVE

Don't sell out, I mean, we'll kinda understand, but please, we'd all love to see you go FI instead, I'd expect less problems than with the S4 myself, even if you do go FI

Yeah I started Hunting down what I want, but the S4 and Supra in the color I'm looking for is a tough find. I think car shopping is an addiction. I'm in no rush, I have a sweet little coupe that keeps me happy in the meantime.
