I've figured out that living vicariously through other people is the best way to go. I mean right now, I'm currently planning out the turbocharging of my friend's KA24. Right now we have a fresh KA24 with transmission sitting on an engine stand waiting for a turbo kit and awesomeness. I figure since I can't own a 240, might as well build someone else's. We're looking at a 280-300rwhp monster.

It'll be badass. Not my money... but hey, might as well play if I can't drive it.

Hope it turns out as good as you hope.

When you say a 'fresh' KA, what do you mean? Freshly rebuilt or fresh from the junkyard with low miles or what?

Sounds like fun. Living vicariously is much cheaper and almost as much fun! Good luck with the motor.

Fresh as in, it was just taken out of a 240 that got an RB25DET swap. Low miles... but it doesn't matter because we're rebuilding the biyatch anyway.

doing same thing with my little brothers hardbody pickup. i have no parts yet but i would love to get a scratch exhaust mani and weld up a t3 flage for a z31 turbo. junkyard intercooler(or none) and low boost. cold plugs, premium gas, rising rate fpr, and big homemade exhaust. that would be one fun ghetto project. i could let him help or do it on the sly while he was out of town or something. yeah, i need to just drive a beater b13 and spend other folks money on cars i dont care about!

Megasquirt, holy s*** somebody else that uses megasquirt. I bought one about 2 yrs back, being an electrical engineering student I figured it's be neat. I put it in a Jeep with a 258 I-6. I have never done sequential. I helped a friend put one on his 78 T/A that was multiport but batch fire. It's kinda cool that all the components are $100 and you have a completely adjustable ECU for tuning. I have never done it for a performance application just to upgrade from carburated vehicles to fuel injection. Tell me how it goes. Has anybody else used one in a 240? Are you going to use the new daughter board their coming out with, they say you can use wideband O2 with it, they say they found a wideband O2 sensor thats only $30. If anyone else is using one or is going to please let me know.

I am glad to have found someone here that has actually done it, I am putting together 2 setups for my 2 L28ET's, so far squirting link a champ all the sensors are working with all the corrected maps, but the spark is a bit of an issue, but I am gonna go the tested HEI route for now just to get going, you just use it for fuel control or you do it as the full stand alone (read as controlling spark as well)

My friend is using mega squirt on his 280Zx turbo. I'm think of using it because it seem to work well and its a cheaper alternative.

your friend on nico? I'd be interested in the details of his set up as he's running the same engine as both of my cars, is he sticking witht he opticle dist? is he running the HEI ignition? or edis? or something completely different?
